With little more than six months left until we say goodbye to As the World Turns, it looks like we'll be taking a stroll or two down Oakdale's memory lane before it's all over. And one of the show's most successful alumnae is headed back for a victory lap.
CBS has confirmed that four-time Oscar nominee Julianne Moore will reprise the role of Frannie Hughes in an upcoming episode. Julianne played Frannie, and her twin sister Sabrina -- from 1985 until 1988, earning herself a Daytime Emmy in 1988 for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
From there, it was The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Short Cuts, and then her breakthrough role in Boogie Nights, and pretty soon Julianne was one of our most celebrated actresses.

I remember her from years back, she was great!!!!
It will be great to see Julianne back as Frannie Hughes. Frannie and Sabrina are twin sisters separated at birth. Sabrina was stolen at birth. She was reunited with her parents, Bob and Kim Hughes when she was grown. She wears eye glasses and speaks with a British accent.
She's Bob & Kim's daughter. She has a lookalike cousin, Sabrina, that Bob and Kim's sister's child. Ohh, the good old days.
I'm looking forward to seeing Frannie back in Oakdale! I wonder will she bring along her lookalike cousin...... Welcome back JM!
Whatever happened to John Dickson on ATWT?
Since the character's last name is Hughes, how is she related to the Hughes family?
I was hoping this would happen. Julianne is a class act who never forgot where she started. I'm guessing it will only be a cameo type visit but cool nonetheless. Cant wait to see her in Oakdale again.
