Jonathan Jackson to Return to Port Charles
ABC Daytime has confirmed that Jonathan Jackson will return to General Hospital to reprise the role of Lucky Spencer -- the son of super couple Luke and Laura -- on October 27. Jackson originated the role of Lucky, which he played from 1993-1999. He has also starred in films like Tuck Everlasting and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, and was most recently seen on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
ABC Daytime also confirmed that Greg Vaughan has decided to leave General Hospital.
From the official statement: "Greg Vaughn has decided to vacate the role to explore new opportunities. We thank him for his years engaging our audience and dedication to the show and network. The cast and crew wish him well in all his future endeavors."

I loved a long time ago the young Lucky and Elizabeth but I am sorry but Jonathan now looks too young for Elizabeth, she has beautified where he has not matured yet, I will miss the one that plays lucky now!

OMG, I'm so excited. I was a huge L&L fan when Jonathan was playing Lucky. Their relationship just has never been the same to me since he left. The whole rape storyline and L&L falling in love was great acting. Hopefully, we'll get to here him sing Elizabeth again!!

I can't believe my eyes! I didn't hear about this yesterday. Well, I'm glad it was GV's decision. I hope that is true. If they have to replace him, I'm glad they got the original. That's going to be strange though, because this JJ will probably have more chemistry with Liz than Nik does, so the Liz/Nik storyline may be kaput before it really started!
I too hope JJ will be more mature than we remember him but he should be. He's been gone long enough and has definitely grown in real life.

I could have sworn that I recently read that Greg had resigned & was staying on GH. I will miss him & hope that Jonathan has matured enough to play an older & wiser Lucky. Take care Greg & Welcome back, Jonathan!!

I hope after all the years Greg filled this role of Lucky he's not been replaced because the original actor wanted the role back...Either way - I think both actors are great...and am happy to hear they are not 86ing the Lucky character.
