Jonathan Jackson to Return to Port Charles

Jonathan Jackson is returning to General HospitalABC Daytime has confirmed that Jonathan Jackson will return to General Hospital to reprise the role of Lucky Spencer -- the son of super couple Luke and Laura -- on October 27. Jackson originated the role of Lucky, which he played from 1993-1999. He has also starred in films like Tuck Everlasting and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, and was most recently seen on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

 

ABC Daytime also confirmed that Greg Vaughan has decided to leave General Hospital.

 

From the official statement: "Greg Vaughn has decided to vacate the role to explore new opportunities. We thank him for his years engaging our audience and dedication to the show and network. The cast and crew wish him well in all his future endeavors."

I am thrilled to see Jonathan Jackson come back as Lucky. I never got used to Greg Vaughn in the role. I am sure he would be fine as another character, but he just wasn't Lucky. I have found that I can accept a new actor in a role much easier when they look as close as possible to the actor who played the role originally. Especially the hair color.
Welcome back Jonathan! I missed you.

can't believe they are replacing greg vaughn with this un-manly looking character. this lucky looks more like someone from skidrow. i also cannot imagine him kissing or making love to liz. his looks alone turn me off.

I will miss GV as Lucky. Other than being hooked on drugs and cheating on Liz with Maxie, he wasn't given any good s/ls. I wish him much success in his career.

As for JJ, he was good back when but can he play Lucky as an adult???? We shall see very soon.

Yeah. The only Lucky that EVER had chemistry with Liz. This should be good. I have been praying for this to happen. As Liz has ZERO chemistry with current Lucky.

I'am sad to hear gregg is leaving the show, he took that role of lucky and breath life back into it and made it his own, i'am happy to hear that the orignal will be taking his place. I was the same age that jj was when the role of lucky begin i was so tick when they took him off and then put jacob in his place, jacob good actor just not for the role of lucky. I hope JJ does one heck of a job like he did the first time, I hope gregg does well where he goes. I can't stand how they turned liz role into a miss i do all things wrong and blame other people , and use lucky role as her safe guard. that all for now except welcome back JJ you have been missed and goodbye gregg you will be missed

I'M THRILLED THAT THE ORIGINAL LUCKY IS COMING BACK!!!!! I HATED IT WHEN THEY CHANGED HIM OUT AND THE ONE THAT IS ON NOW LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL. AND NOW HE LOOKS MORE LIKE HIS LONG LOST HALF BROTHER AND LULU. THANK YOU GH FOR BRINGING HIM BACK!!!!

jonathan jackson better bulk up if he's taking over the lucky role cause he looks scrawny.
