Jean Passanante Joins One Life to Live
Jean Passanante (the woman on the right), the current head writer of As The World Turns, will be joining the writing team of One Life to Live once ATWT ceases production this summer.
Jean will be an associate head writer with the OLTL writing team. Ron Carlivati remains head writer. For those unfamiliar with a soap opera writing team's structure, the head writer is supported by a group of associate head writers, whose numbers vary from three to five (depending on the show).
Jean has a history with One Life to Live: She was part of the writing team -- as an associate head writer -- from 1993 to 1996, and then again from 1997 to 1998 ... with a stint as co-head writer from 1996 to '97. Prior to joining As The World Turns, she served as head writer of All My Children and Another World.

I agree the soap is self-destructing if I wanted to watch 90210 I would... I am sick and tired of these teens come on!!!
where is dorian, where is she come on...
Bo and Nora are used as filler lately..
And we have John Mcbain everywhere...
ON GH and AMC the kids are the fillers..
I like some of the storyline but please hurry and come in and get back on track, too many young people story at the same time they can be space out. Let some sparks fly between todd and tea bring them back together and dani should already have a relationship with her father its been dragging out too long. Also the older folks get some headlines and keep older viewers on their feet.
Welcome to Jean P. as a new writer-please help my favorite soap! Hopefully these are ideas that alot of the blogs/bulletin boards are asking for as well as me: Less of the Kids storylines, more Roxy, Nigel, David, (Dorian and David), actually more of the older ones...like Viki. Really why so much of Christian & Layla-these have to be the most boring characters of daytime ? We need a break of the always front burner Jessica-if she has to be up there, please take her off the teen wagon (more of an excuse to keep the teens always front burner)-put her back with Brody already! Heck, when I was a teen watching these shows many years ago-I wanted to watch the adults-the hot guys in their 20's and up-not ones like Cole or Marko-although enough of Ford too! Hate his storyline!!!! How about a storyline that keeps funny ones David, Nigel and Roxy in front alot and Bo and Nora, Clint and Viki (Charlie is ok I guess),Dorinan/Kramer women, Todd-- just sprinkle in the kids once and awhile. Thank you...looking forward to hopefully better storylines. P.S. I think you really could do something with this Rex finding his true parents story. Also, I am not a fan of Marty/John - want you to bring back Thorsten Kaye as Patrick - then put John with Natalie or back with Blair.
