We don't know about you, but when Rory fell in love with Dean on the first season of Gilmore Girls, we did too. So hearing that Jared Padalecki, the actor who played Dean, is getting married ... we kind of have that bittersweet feeling. If only we could track Rory down at whatever newspaper she's probably running at this point to commiserate!

Anyways -- to explain -- E! reports that Jared, 27, asked Supernatural costar Genevieve Cortese to marry him. And (duh), she said yes!

There must be something on-set over at Supernatural. Jensen Ackles, who plays Jared's TV brother, and One Tree Hill actress Danneel Harris got engaged in November.

This calls for a spooky double-wedding themed episode, no?
