James Franco Coming to General Hospital

James Franco is joining General HospitalYes, you read the headline correctly. James Franco, who's starred in all three Spider Man films, Milk, Pineapple Express, and tons of other movies -- is joining the cast of General Hospital.

He'll be playing a mysterious character -- the details are too hot to share now -- who will interact with most of Port Charles and in particular, make Jason's life a living hell. Expect James to start airing on November 20th and he'll appear on the show for multiple weeks.

The coolest part about this? James approached General Hospital about joining the cast.

"We are thrilled to announce that James Franco will play an integral part in a lengthy run on General Hospital this fall. It's an honor that an actor of James' caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles," said Jill Farren Phelps, GH's executive producer.

You can bet as more news develops, we'll have it here.

What would you like to see James do on General Hospital?

Love to see him and the acting will have to step up. I will love to see him make it hard for Jason and to see Jason Morgan back. I'm hoping Sam has nothing to do with this, pls don't make this about her the Sam show pls don't.

Maybe he will play that long lost Alcazar that has been mentioned?? If so he might be making both Jason AND Sam's lives miserable?

Well, I don't want to see him mess with JaSam!!! I daily risk driving 80 miles an hour coming home just to see JaSam! And, if JaSam just happen to be on that day, I watch it again at 10 pm on SoapNet! Plus, I watch the GH marathon on Sundays to see them as much as possible. OK, I confess, I'm a JaSam freak!!! Take that away and.........

I CANNOT BELIEVE MY EYES!!! JAMES FRANCO, ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS, APPROACHED GENERAL HOSPITAL AND ASKED TO PARTICIPATE ON THE SHOW???? OMG!!!!! And the best part is he will start on my birthday, November 20! HOW COOL IS THAT???? When I read that he was going to be on GH, the ONLY soap opera I watch, I HAD TO PICK MY JAW UP OFF OF THE FLOOR, I WAS SO SHOCKED!!!! The made-for-TV-movie he did on the life of James Dean is STUNNINGLY GREAT, and if you haven't seen it yet, you HAVE TO RENT THAT MOVIE!!!! If you didn't know anything about this guy while you are watching that film, you would never guess it wasn't THE REAL JAMES DEAN!!! That is how great of an actor this guy is! I was introduced to his unbelievable acting talent because I'm a big James Dean fan. I rented that movie just because I wanted to see how ANYBODY could be so ARROGANT as to think they could even PRETEND to act like James Dean! Boy, was I stunned after I finished watching that movie, and I have been a big fan of James Franco ever since! Please, trust me, you HAVE TO SEE THAT MOVIE in order to "get" what is happening here with him playing ANY CHARACTER on General Hospital!!! OMG I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!!
