Meanwhile, Robin's trying to recover from the Patrick break up. The one thing that gets her excited: The idea of being a mommy. She signs adoption paperwork and even names Stacey's daughter Anna (after her own super-spy mother, Anna Devane). Sadly, Robin's dream is dashed when the baby's biological father, Curtis, shows up all of a sudden to claim custody of his child. Robin's deflated, Patrick feels for her and we see these two belong together. But, natch, that would be too easy.
While all of THAT is going on, there's mature romance brewing over at the General Hospital nurses station. No-nonsense Nurse Epiphany Johnson finds herself crushing on Toussaint the janitor. They develop a friendship over several episodes, and she figures out he's the former lead singer of the famous band "The Saints." Epiphany admits to Toussaint that she was one of his biggest fans, and questions why he left the group. Turns out, Toussaint left the group when he and a band mate fought over -- what else? -- a woman.
Resident cardiologist Dr. Leo Julian experiences ups and downs in his career: He's about to begin a triple bypass when he realizes -- just in time -- that the patient's heart is completely healthy. On another occasion, he freezes up with anxiety during a surgery. When Leo's not trying to keep his head above water, he's a bit of a player, busily flirting with the student nurses.
