Get Ready for a Brenda/Sonny Marathon This Sunday
General Hospital fans, if you enjoyed Tuesday's mini-marathon of prominent Brenda episodes on ABC and SOAPnet, you're in luck this weekend, as SOAPnet presents "The Best of Sonny and Brenda."
What does this mean? How about four straight episodes chronicling the highlights of the tempestuous Sonny/Brenda relationship? Beginning at 3PM this Sunday, August 15th, you can track Sonny and Brenda from the sands of Puerto Rico to that lonely church altar. And all through the marathon, we've got special appearances by Maurice Benard and Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo as they react to Sonny and Brenda's wild ride.
This one's not to be missed, folks. There's no better way to get primed for Sonny and Brenda's ultimate reunion in the episodes ahead. Sunday at 3PM on SOAPnet -- be there. Here's the schedule of episodes:
3PM: "In Puerto Rico, Sonny and Brenda escape on a boat and end up washed ashore on a beach, where their relief turns to passion. The two then hurry back to Miguel's (Ricky Martin) concert to warn him that he and Lois are in danger." (Originally aired December 2, 1994)
4PM: "Trapped in a cave and thinking they're going to die, Sonny and Brenda admit their feelings for each other and make love as Jax and Jason search for them." (Originally aired March 7, 1997)
5PM: "Brenda is stunned at her wedding when Sonny leaves her waiting alone at the altar." (Originally aired September 22, 1997)
6PM: "Brenda pays a surprise visit to Sonny and finally gets him to admit why he didn't show up for their wedding." (Originally aired May 26, 1998)

Absolutely enjoyed the Brenda & Sonny Marathon. It was a pleasure seeing all the old vets. Lois, Lucy Coe and of course we had a house full of Q's Lila, Edward, Alan, Monica AJ, and Tracy and Alan.. loved it. I think even a young Ricky Martin starred on the show as well. This was GH at it's finest. As I listened to Maurice narrate and explain Sonny's love for Brenda the similarities of Sonny & Brenda are so much like Jason & Elizabeth. Maurice said that Sonny pushing Brenda away was Sonny's way of keeping her safe, (he loves Brenda and always will) but to keep her safe he would rather give her up. Brenda does for Sonny what Elizabeth does for Jason. Brenda & Elizabeth brings out the good in these Bad-Boys. They don't try to change them, they understand and know their business, but Brenda & Elizabeth gives Sonny & Jason something to long for, they encourage them that there's more to them then just the killing, that after you've done your days work of mob business you are a father, a lover, you are a man with a heart that cares. The writers back then got it right..."Romance at it's finest" watching Brenda & Sonny, reminded me of the awesome romance that Jason & Elizabeth displayed.
Thank you soapnet for the wonderful memories. I especially loved seeing Vanessa and Maurice discuss Sonny/Brenda's TRUE love.
I just hope the writers don't waste this story line like they did with Rick Springfield, Finola Hughes, Tristan Rogers, and Genie Francis. They had golden opportunities to really use the actors and they did nothing but squander it. I even stopped watching the show for 8 months, right after they killed Claudia. I don't know what the writers are thinking, but this show is beyond stupid, even for a soap. If it wasn't for Brenda, I still would not be watching.
I missed the episode that aired at 6, & that was one of my favorite episodes EVER when Brenda finally talked to Sonny about why he left her at the alter. Please play these again or make it where you can watch them online!!! PLEASE
I am so upset my cable was missing soap net today and I missed the first 34 minutes if the first show. Then they fixed it for three minutes and it went out again. CAN SOAP NET PLEASE SHOW THESE EPISODES AGAIN OR PUT THEM ONLINE? I missed the first episode that aired at 3:00 with Brenda and Sonny in Puerto Rico! I HATE COX CABLE. This is the third time this week I have lost TV channels or had not Internet connection for hours on end.
Please Soap Net show these shows again or put on her so we can watch on our computers.

I love Brenda and I am surely going to be watching GH everyday now that she is back and to all the haters Vanessa Marcil is the truth like it or not folks are drawn to her and ABC would be wise to lock her up for much longer than a year because when she leaves I will to and so will thousands of others, Love ya Vanessa! Thank you so very much for making GH must see tv again!
