General Hospital: Week in Review for November 1, 2010
Funniest Moment: Not a moment that was intended to be funny, but rather one that was made funny by what we know about a character. In this case, it's Elizabeth, who has quite the smackdown in store for Lisa this week. While she was taking Lisa up the hill and back again for what she's done to Robin over the past few weeks, it struck us: the thing we often find ourselves complaining about with Liz -- her superhuman judginess -- was what she was putting to such good use this week. Keep using your judgy powers for good, Liz!
WTH? Moment: Carly continues to blow our minds with the lengths she'll go to -- and the people she'll manipulate -- in order to get what she wants. In this case, it was once again preying on Spinelli being easily influenced by beautiful women. She's done it before, but ... "The Valkyrie's strength is nothing without the Jackal's wisdom"? THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! Gross, Carly. But effective.
Performer of the Week: Kelly Monaco as Sam McCall. With all the brouhaha this week with the Balkan ambush, Brenda shooting the guy, Siobahn getting abducted, et cetera, the moment we enjoyed the most lasted for about two seconds, and it was the absolute DEATH STARE that Sam shot Brenda shortly after Brenda totally ruined their operation. There was so much in that look. Without a single word, Sam communicated how annoyed she was by Brenda screwing everything up, how much she resents Brenda taking up all of Jason's time, her frustration that she's not allowed to say any of this without looking like a bitch, and her annoyance that other women can't be capable badasses like she is. Strong work from Kelly Monaco right there.

RUNNING THE WEEK DOWN IN A FEW SHORT WORDS. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SAM AND JASON TOGETHER. PLEASE KEEP THEM TOGETHER. IT'S TIME FOR LISA TO LEAVE GENERAL HOSPITAL. FIRST OF ALL WHAT SHE IS DOING IS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR AND THE STORY LINE IS BORING. IT'S TIME FOR BRENDA AND DANTE'S SECRET TO COME TO LIGHT.
Sam is great at what she does she just not the Carly type like people seem to want her to be. She's laid back but strong at the same time that's why I think her and Jason will last forever but she does have the right to be frustrated I mean if I was new to the show I would think that Jason and Brenda is together right now and not Sam.
i agree. i love sam and jason. i think they are hilarious. they are the only reason i started watching gh again. their chemistry is great. i used to watch years ago with luke and laura.

seriously... they haven't done a thing to make her like-able. Best option they have is make her BAD again. Draw that woman back to her roots. She could beat Helena for best villian AND what's great is she'd have enough dirt on Corinthos to blackmail for her life.
I could care less about how much lucky cares for the nobody newbie character, good grief. Can we quit getting new characters when we barely see the veterans that are on now?! I'd like a story for Elizabeth. I'd also like one for Nikolas. Love them both, just not as a couple. I hate what the writers did to the history between Lucky/Liz/Nikolas! Still waiting on the paternity secret. Still hoping for Vlad Valentin to show up, SO ready for a NON-mob villain for the NON-mobular characters! Writers totally ruined my classic permanent lock with LL2, and now with Sonny and Brenda with this joke of a storyline with Dante. Time to move on I think.I'd love a backstory for the Webber siblings, and an Alexis/Sam paternity story, something different for Sam would be nice.
Brenda and Dante having a secret baby is ridiculous you do not have to go this far for a storyline,really it aggravates me tht the writers will stoop that low for a storyline.Im done maybe not forever but for awhile i hope alot of people feel the same way so you'll can see that this is ridiculous,when the viewers leave,thats why.

Her giving her 'I'm trash and anyone that looks at my deadbeat boyfriend better not have a kid I can stalk' is the performance of th week?
Jason and his ride or die slut deserve EVERY 1.2 they bring in.
Really Soapnet...I'm going to have to ask you to watch the show before you start giving performer of the week accolades because performer of the week should of so went to VMG. You give performer of the week to Kelly Monaco because of a look that was really a 'I'm pissy because my boyfriend isn't paying attention to me' look if I ever saw one. Your standards are very low if that's all it takes to get Performer of the Week. And I need to point something out to you since you obviously don't pay attention to the show. Just becausee the character of Sam say that Brenda messed up the plan, doesn't Brenda doesn't mean that Brenda messed up the plan because if you had watched the show you would have realized that the plan was messed up from the beginning. Like hello, they kidnapped Rainbow Brite aka Siorbhan before the meeting was even supposed to take place and they only sent one man to the warehouse. Like I know I'm not in the mob but really...I would think they would send more than one man to a meeting especially considering it was clearly pointed out that the Balkan and his men knew that Lucky was Ronan and didn't trust him.
I love the character of Sam McCall and I am just as fed up with Brenda as Sam is. Kelly does an awesome job of making Sam a rootable character.
THANK YOU YVONNENAE!! I was thinking that too!! They always referred to Olivia/Sonny having been together 20 years ago, so Dante would had to have been a teen when he and Brenda "knew" each other.... And they are trying so hard to make everyone think that they slept together by always saying "what we did", when we all know that that would be too obvious. Besides, ANYTHING that they did, would be no big deal, because, as someone else said, they were BOTH free to do whatever they wanted!!
While we are on the subject of Brenda, why is it that people will marry someone in a heartbeat to "save them" from something, (Brenda and Jason), or to "fool" an official of some sort, (Alexis & Jax, and Ned & Chloe), but yet, when they are REALLY in love, (Jason & Sam) they aren't "ready" to get married?? It seems to take them forever! Also, when a soap hero goes to the ends of the earth because he has to save his lady love from something, as soon as she is "safe", and they can have a life together, his eye "wanders", and then he is no longer in love with said woman?? WTHeck?
My last question--- When are they going to show more COLEMAN and KATE??? They are so refreshing together!! Come on Kateman!!!
