General Hospital: Week in Review for May 16, 2011

Jason Morgan, Anthony Geary, General HospitalWhen it comes to looking back on the best, craziest, most dramatic moments on General Hospital this week, we know what we think. But what we really want to know is what YOU think? What were your picks for this week's funniest moment? Or best performer? We've got some talking points to get you all started, but give us your own picks in the comments below!

Funniest Moment: Anthony Zacchara's "scared old man" act when Lucky was confronting him. Nobody was buying it for a second, and rightfully so.

WTH? Moment: Luke provoking Jason -- again! -- and trying to get him to retaliate with violence. First of all, it's a double bad idea to do that with Carly around -- she's more vicious than Jason. But also ... just WTH is going on in Luke's head?

Best Moment: Dante and Sonny working together to get the jump on Suzanne. Those two can work together, if the circumstances are right.

Performer of the Week: Brianna Brown as Lisa Niles. This week really brought home what great fun her work as the deliciously demented Lisa has been. Robin finally got the jump on her on Friday, and the glee we feel at her downfall is because Brianna has done such a great job making us love to hate her.

Why We Love General Hospital This Week: Carly's delicious response to Brenda thanking her for helping to rescue Alec. With Jax sitting right behind Brenda, Carly pointedly noted, "Every child belongs with their mother." Ice cold!

So let's hear YOUR favorite GH moments this week!

I'm not sure who I like better, Anthony Geary (Luke) or Jonathan Jackson (Lucky). They are both terrific actors. I want them both to get an Emmy award for best anything!! Their scenes together always have me glued to the tv. Love them both.

Yes, hate Lisa enough to get her off the show. She'll not be missed, we have enough psycho in 1 year to last a lifetime. GH fans can't stand the sight of her. Remote control is a wonderful thing.

To the fan who wondered why Sa and Jason dont't get emotional like Elizabeth and Carly is Sam knows she can't breakdown for Jason's sake. He said Sam is the one that gets him through the days and nights. All they have to do is hold each other and let Jason talk. It is breaking Sam's heart because she has gone through the same thing. Jason was there for her when she lost her baby. They need to have their own baby so both can heal.

Hi Calli5909

I loved Brenda character after she redeemed herself and stopped running behind Jagger. It is not Vanessa’s fault she is acting out of character; the fault lies with the writers. If you recall they have been painting Brenda as a lunatic for years during her absence. Think back on the comments made by Sonny and Jason as they compared Brenda to Carly. The unhinged character has always been Carly but it appears General Hospital has been in a parallel universe for so long that up is down and wrong is right. How else would you explain Sonny and Jason as the good guys and that mob life is more respectful than working at General Hospital or the police station. For the record, I like Sonny and Jason.

The writers are making Brenda look bad so Carly can look good. If you read some of the crazy posting from some of the women on the boards you would applaud the cancellation of all soaps. I guess the lost of viewer ship stems from the farfetched reach of the writers, especially when they totally destroy a character like Brenda B. and upgrade a character like Carly. The writers are now making Jax look bad. Don’t get me wrong, I did not like how he connived and kept Nicolas from the child he had with Courtney with the help of Carly or how he gave his brother a pass. But for some reason the writers have centered General Hospital around Carly, Jason, and Sonny that even Jax is being made the bad guy and the new guy Sean as a redeemer. Really writers, really. The fans of Brenda wish you would have left her character alone. And what mother would put her children at risk the way Carly has. Vanessa they say you can't go back, the writers of GH has proven this fact. They did not had to destroy Brenda’s character.

If the new writer for GH gives in to Elizabeth's fan and reunite her with Jason then the show needs to be cancelled. Alexs needs to mind her own business and let Jason and Sam make their own decisions. She is a good mother. She never is there for Cristina or Moll. Jason and Sam should hve a romantic weekend and get pregnant. That would be the best thing that could happen to GH. Shawn and Carly should get something oh Jax.

GH was REALLY GOOD all the way around this week! So many great performances by so many actors! My favorite scenes always involve Steve Burton/Jason Morgan, so I'd have to say either the scene where Luke tries to provoke Jason, or the tender scene w/Carly where he's describing his recurring dream of Jake to her. I also loved the light, humorous scene between JaSam on Friday. Steve & Kelly have great chemistry give such a sense of reality to JaSam's relationship!
