Funniest Moment: Oh, those quotable Quartermaines! Things on "General Hospital" are always funnier when the Qs are up in each other's business. And this week, not only did we get the usual Tracy/Edward/Monica bickering (though we can't remember if Monica gave her weekly reminder of just who owns that damn mansion), but it also brought Alice back into our lives. Where she belongs. Anyway, on to the barbed comments. Tracy kicked things off with some casual sniping at the usual targets, when Edward reminded her of the young'uns he's been gathering to stay at the mansion (and seriously, is Edward planning a second career as a boarding school headmaster ... ooh, spinoff idea!). On the subject of Michael and Rebecca, Tracy quipped: "He's a punk, she's a con." Hey, rude or not, we can't exactly say she's lying.
Edward kept the quotables rolling later in the week, after he and Rebecca were mistakenly thrown in jail. After Nikolas came to bail them out -- and convince Rebecca to think better of her new living arrangement -- Edward warned him not to try to "woo her back to your Gothic rockpile." Edward, we tip our fashionable newsboy cap to you.

Wow...First I just want to state to all the posters before me just so they are all clear on this...IT'S A SOAP!!! Honestly, it's a soap.
It seems some people are not watching the same soap as me. However, I think they just have an intense dislike for a couple is why they are refusing to see what others are seeing. I also think it's silly to berate that couple just because you don't like them.
It is very tacky and illogical to me to berate the show as well or wish it ill. I never liked Jason with Elizabeth. However, I stuck by my show and never wished it to be canceled or intentionally stopped watching because what was on the canvas. Again I say it's a soap. Couples are never together forever. There is always drama for them. Deal.
I, for one, am exstatic to see this kind of recognition of the pairing I like. I think they have awesome chemistry. That is my opinion, and I am sticking to it. I have never seen 'Jason' smile more with anyone (Including ELIZABETH for that one poster who said his tender side came out...hello did you watch GH during Sam's pregnancy and afterward? You must of missed it if you think he has never been tender.) and flirty than he is with "Sam'.
Anyhow, they are great. The stories are getting better. All in all, its a win for me and those who don't like it, well...I just don't care. Here's to JaSam and here's to hoping that those plotting wake up and realize, if there is no GH their couple will never be.
Wow, in order to get a paycheck, you really have to toe to the company line, don't you. PLease! WHAT show were you watching. Most certianly not GH otherwise you would have seen that SBu looked bored and KeMo overacted like usual.
Performer of the week, my vote would go to LW or IR, maybe even NLG, frankly the other two were chosen to get the usual war started between fan bases.
Try being honest, not part of the proganda machine for your bosses as ABC daytime. Admit the truth, the Jason Sam storyline tanked, even the actors look miserable, it's time for GH to go back to what is it supposed to be doing, telling stories for the ENSEMBLE CAST BASED ON THE Hospital in it's name, not just for HOS that it starts off with.
BALANCE = VIEWERS
GOOD GIRLS WINNING = VIEWERS
HOS BEING WHITEWASHED = LOW VIEWSHIP AND LOSS OF INTGRITY,
Stop the proganda, admit the truth and tell the people in charge to go back to telling stories the core viewers want to see, not just the ones who joined after 2003.
As a 12+ year Jason fan I found this weeks promo and resulting scenes both offensive and insulting.... to even suggest that jason would still have feelings for the person who betrayed his trust more than anyone ever has by deliberately using his child as a tool in a selfish attempt at payback is revolting... to take the character of jason in that direction would be the final nail in the coffin of the real jason morgan...it would be neither rootable nor watchable
as a jason fan I am appalled at what has been on my screen, showing him even being friendly with her...
the jason character has been the primary reason I have watched GH for a long time...to go dowm this road with my fav character would be the last straw for this viewer.. I have barely been able to watch the jason scenes for the past few months without wanting to throw things at my tv...
it would be unfortunate if the very character that brought me into the gh fold was the very thing that ended up driving me away
Performers of the week? Are you kidding me? If the misadventure for Sam and Jason causes them to be performers of the week, that shows the true depths to which GH has sunk. There is absolutely no chemistry between these two characters. I admit I was never a huge fan of this pairing, but at least last time I saw some interest between them. This time, not an iota of interest (for me about the story or interest between the characters). Their story has been played out- beginning, middle and definite, final, never-to-return end. Stop the foolish, situational, contrived scenes used only to whitewash a useless character and get back to good storytelling. Come on, GH, I know you have the ability to write something entertaining for a change.
I seldom comment on these reviews but in this case I feel compelled to. Why is the character of Jason Morgan being written more and more like a weakling who needs direction, assistance and advice from the woman who stood by and willingly allowed his son to be kidnapped? The real Jason would never, never have forgiven anyone who threatened his family in such a way, let alone be all chummy with her. This man who has always been able to handle things on his own all of a sudden needs to call Sam for assistance on everything? How ridiculous that he spent what seemed like hours trying to fix a car with no results and then Sam did it in a matter of seconds? Bonnie and Clyde? More like Abbott and Costello.
As far as the actors having an "ease" and "chemistry" with each other, maybe I would be able to see it if I were able to get past Kelly's arm flailing, eye rolling and constant fussing with her hair. Her distracting mannerisms take away from any chemistry that may or may not be there. Frankly, I don't see any chemistry. All I see is a totally different Jason than the one I've loved through the years and a Jason who is written so out of character that it saddens me.
Wow, bitter much? It amazes me how some fans simply just can't let go of the past when it's clearly been shown on screen that all the characters have. Yes, we know Sam did a horrible thing by letting Jake get kidnapped, but we also know that Sam was not in her right mind when that happened. She was an emotional wreck, she had a moment of weakness and she's regretted and apologized for it ever since. Apparently some people need Sam to kiss the ground that Jason and Liz walk on in order for them to even tolerate Sam, but you know what? That's never gonna happen! Sam has apologized countless times to both Jason and Liz and has beaten herself up over it ever since it happened and Jason and Liz were able to forgive her, why can't their fans? Jeez, talk about holding grudges. And all these comments about Jason being written out of character and whatnot are getting old fast. Wanna see Jason Morgan written out of character? Go back to the episodes of 2007 where Jason was lying to everyone and sneaking around with Liz, letting her convince him that he was too dangerous for his own son. That was the out of character Jason, that Jason was defying all of his own morals and was basically doing everything he used to he used to judge others for. Jason Morgan right now is not being written out of character, he is simply growing as a character. The old Jason Morgan could not forgive Robin for betraying him even though he knew that somewherer in there he was also in the wrong, but the new Jason Morgan can forgive Sam for everything she's done to him, because he knows he's done a lot of shit to her, too! This whole thing between Jason and Sam was not one-sided! They both did horrible things to each other, but they've gotten passed it, they're moving on and they're slowly growing closer again and I for one could not be happier! Sam has always been the one woman who could see right through Jason and really see him for who he really is, and not only love it, but accept it with all her heart. And the same goes for Jason, who was able to break down all of Sam's walls and just be there for her, through thick and thin. The writers really did their best to ruin Jasam's whole foundation during their break-up and they somewhat succeeded, but now we're seeing a more mature and definitely wiser Jasam growing closer again, confiding in each other again and on their way to a great reunion! And I say bring it on because I have been waiting long enough! Steve and Kelly have off the charts chemistry and they are the reason why Jasam has always felt so real to me and their acting ability's, especially when working together, are what make Jasam so great. To conclude this post, I love Jasam, I'm loving what we've been getting lately and I can't wait to see Jasam reunited on my screen finally!
Joe,
You can sell the comany line all you want to, but having the character of Jason Morgan anywhere near the woman who intentionally watched his son be kidnapped by a woman that she knew to be seriously upset is nothing less than an assasination of the character of Jason Morgan. This woman refused to tell authorities where to find his son, Jake; she taunted Jake's parents, she refused to allow a PA on her show even though her producer was trying to talk her into it; she jeopardized her mother's career by asking the DA how much trouble would she be in, hypothetically; she sat around drinking and whinning like the pathetic, selfish loser she is. Later, she hired thugs to wave loaded guns in the faces of innocent children. No parent woud ever forget that. And a whole bunch of viewers haven't forgotten it, either.
And as for chemistry, I never saw any chemistry between Jason and her. Still don't. But that may be more about the difference in skill levels between the actors. If she is all that great, then let's see her carry her own story, by herself, without being propped up by the big dawgs on canvas.
It's always interesting to me when different people look at the exact same things and see something totally different. I think Jason and Sam's scenes looked forced and awkward, especially on Jason's part. He looks exasperated most of the time. Sam just looks silly. (And the awful stuff from their past colors all of their interaction for me, so I'll never find them cute or fun together.) I'm not sure what GH is going for with these scenes. Maybe that great old movie It Happened One Night? What I see is just a cheesy B-movie. (Nothing wrong with B-movies, just don't want to see one when I'm watching my soap.)
I am sorry I see NO chemistry at all between Jason and the child endangering one. And the ratings and loss of 1/2 a million viewers show this at fact!
The REAL Jason Morgan would NEVER EVER be freinds with a person, any person, who has endangered a child or those he loves or cares about. No ands, ifs or buts.
Ratings DO NOT lie and it is as plain as the nose on your face that since December/January this show has been declining and the stories and “friendships” that have been highlighted and done since then shows they are NOT working, period.
The show could have wonderful CORE couples with Jax & Carly, Robin & Patrick, Sonny & Kate and Elizabeth & Jason, yet they do not take the chance with these popular pairings.
Jax brings out the best in Carly, Robin and Patrick are wonderful together and work well, Kate brought out the “old” Sonny that viewers miss and Elizabeth and Jason bring out the best in each other by having such history, chemistry, friendship, trust and love for one another.
Elizabeth brings out tenderness in Jason, a side we rarely see. Jason makes Elizabeth realize she is a strong person and she can save herself when needed (I'm ignoring the November kidnapping stuff because THAT was not how Elizabeth would have reacted) and won't hesitate to save those she loves, but she doesn't enjoy using a gun. She does what she has to to protect those she loves. She doesn't need the danger to get a high from life. And Neither does Jason.
When Jason and Elizabeth are around each other their best qualities shine, Jason is softer, kinder and he smiles that boyish smile. You can see the caring side of Jason in just the way he looks at Elizabeth it's like he is in awe of her. We know that Jason has loved Elizabeth for a while by the talks he has had with Spinelli and Diane. And also by his actions.
Elizabeth is stronger in herself when she is with Jason, she has confidence, speaks her mind, she just exists without any huge crisis hanging over her head. Elizabeth will always love Jason we have seen this in the comments she made to Jason about loving him since he saved her at Jake's all those years ago. We have seen her talk to Robin and ask her how she is supposed to ever stop loving Jason.
The love, faith and trust is still there for these two and always will be.
I have to wonder i TPTB want to have GH canceled because Jason being around the woman who watched his son get kidnapped and said nothing and hired two men with guns to scare Elizabeth and Cam and Jake away from Jason. I don't care how TPTB try to spin it Jason being around the woman who endangered his son is wrong. TPTB would rather promote sleazy women instead of strong women Like Elizabeth, Monica, Diane, Kate, Robin, Alexis who work hard for a living and use their brains instead of their bodies to get ahead. Stop destroying Jason Morgan 's character by putting him anywhere the woman who endangered his family.
