"General Hospital": Week in Review for July 27, 2009

John Ingle, Natalia Livingston, "General Hospital"Funniest Moment: Oh, those quotable Quartermaines! Things on "General Hospital" are always funnier when the Qs are up in each other's business. And this week, not only did we get the usual Tracy/Edward/Monica bickering (though we can't remember if Monica gave her weekly reminder of just who owns that damn mansion), but it also brought Alice back into our lives. Where she belongs. Anyway, on to the barbed comments. Tracy kicked things off with some casual sniping at the usual targets, when Edward reminded her of the young'uns he's been gathering to stay at the mansion (and seriously, is Edward planning a second career as a boarding school headmaster ... ooh, spinoff idea!). On the subject of Michael and Rebecca, Tracy quipped: "He's a punk, she's a con." Hey, rude or not, we can't exactly say she's lying.

Edward kept the quotables rolling later in the week, after he and Rebecca were mistakenly thrown in jail. After Nikolas came to bail them out -- and convince Rebecca to think better of her new living arrangement -- Edward warned him not to try to "woo her back to your Gothic rockpile." Edward, we tip our fashionable newsboy cap to you.

NOTHING ruins the nostalgia of a past love relationship more than reviving that relationship. It NEVER holds the same magic as it did the first time- does anyone remember the Luke and Laura reunion mess a couple years ago??? How lackluster are Lucky and Elizabeth now? Nickolas and Rebecca- YAWN. NO ONE wants to see Sonny and Carly back together because it would kill what Sonny and Carly are all about... Have I made my point? LET IT GO.

The promos last week made me sick! I haaatttteeeee Sam & Jason together. Is this the beginning of him leaving?I have watched for 30 some years , it may be time to stop. If Jason and Liz don't get back together ,I may have to watch another show at 3pm!Can't Sam get with Sonny's latest kid?I think he needs a vasectamy(3 kids ago)I can't stand that Kristina!!!! I'am getting sick of the whole show ,nothing makes me have to watch everyday, anymore. When Liz &Jason were on I would DVR the shows then delete the ones without them .My DVR is 50%full.Sam & Jason are not Luke & Laura!

Has nothing to do with being bitter, it has everything to do with the character assasination the entire cast has had to go through in order to whitewash what that skank did. It never ceases to amaze me what her fans justify for her. If Elizabeth had done those horrible things, you guys would have her lmarked for death, but not Sam, Ms. ConArtist, babynapping tart, no way. She can get away with away with everything b/c her fans say so? In real life or soap land this couple makes zero damn sense, and ratings have shows that!! What the hell are they going to do with them anyway? Ms. Flailing arms and Jason are going to go on more stupid adventure, Jason being around every kid but his own, just to be with that disgusting excuse for a woman? DON'T THINK SO!! VIVA LIASON!!! Steve has made it more than obvious multiple times that he does not want JaSam, even more obvious in his scenes, that he's bored off his rocker. Some of you are so funny to want her with a man who threatened to kill her, JUSTIFIABLY SO, so what....you win? She needs to get back in her nasty hooker shoes and go back to her show, and leave GH!

I don't know what show others are watching but Jason and Sam have absolutely NO chemistry. All their scenes are awkward and contrived. Trying to force these two into a pairing is one of the big reasons GH is doing so miserably in the ratings. The real Jason would not be anywhere near a person that deliberately put his son in harm's way no matter the reason.

Elizabeth, Jason and the boys gracing the Quartermaine mansion, Edward commenting on Lila's eyes b/c that's where Jason got his blues from..that's what I'm talking about! Monica knowing her grandson. Michael getting to know his cousin, Carly and Jax are another great couple, would love to see Carly interact more with the Quartermaines. Elizabeth and Jason being together has so much storyline potential. JaSam are DEAD AND BURIED. leave it at that, it doesn't make any sense not even in soapland. I had to look on you tube to believe it!! Jason and Sam??? WTH?? This sickens and irritates me to no end!! After all that vile women did and said to Jason about his son after he went missing knowing all the while exactly where he was...no to mention not knowing whether or not that crazy women had dumped him in a trash can or sold him!! Her words to Amelia "Jake coming home is not my priority." Of course it wasn't, she wanted that innocent little boy to pay, possibly with his life b/c how dare Elizabeth have a baby by Jason. If JaSam continues GH will continue to plummet. Sam fans BRING IT ON! Because this is BS, and JaSam are one of the reasons this show is plummeting! Elizabeth and Jason need to be a familly.

I totally agree with Lea, I still supported the show no matter what and I would never wish it canceled because if it was, so many people would lose their jobs and that is not a good place to be in, in the current economy. I'm not just talking actors or writers but camera crew men and set directors all of those behind the scenes jobs that might be hard to just go and find another one. Actors and writers might be able to easily transition to other soaps but it might not be so easy for all of those behind the scenes jobs. So on that note, I wish General Hospital all the success!!

I also loved the funniest moment as well, Rebecca and Edward in jail was hilarious. I also loved the scenes with Tracy, Edward, and Rebecca, they were very enjoyable and lots of fun. It's good to see the Quartermaines back on the screen again!!! The best moment was definitely the return of Jerry Jacks. I am glad he's back to stir things up a bit!!

I totally agree, Jason and Sam were wonderful this week. Their chemistry is still of the charts and their scenes are always enjoyable, I love their ease and the way they can so easily communicate information. I also love how they share everything with one another They are both wonderful actors and they make the story believable and so much fun. I love how they are working with each other and depending on each other to solve the problem. Their scenes are golden and I am loving the reconnect just as much as you. I know that Jason and Sam are going to come back stronger than ever and I can't wait to see where their story goes. I am so glad that the writers are trying to repair the damage and the character assassinations that they did a few years ago. The show can only get better from here.
