Best Moment: It was the last thing we saw this week, but maybe what we were most looking forward to: New Michael is here! Sure, all he gets to do know is play comatose in the hospital bed, but we're confident Drew Garrett will get to do much more once Michael (hopefully) emerges from his SORAS slumber.
Performer of the Week: Nancy Lee Grahn as Alexis Davis. We've said this before, but we love our Alexis, and any week where she gets this much to do, we're going to celebrate as best we can. And Alexis was EVERYWHERE this week: facing off with Rebecca at Wyndemere! Doling out wisdom and a kind word for Robin down at the docks! Calling the police in the aftermath of Claudia's car bomb! Our secret suspicion is that with the brand new (ultra-spiffy!) HD action this week, they wanted to feature Alexis as much as possible, because did you see her? She looks dynamite. Almost as dynamite as that car bomb.
Why We Love "General Hospital" This Week: She was leaving on a jet plane at mid-week (godwilling she'll be back soon), so we might as well heap some more praise on the character of Helena Cassadine. She makes the show so much fun to watch! First of all, she kicks off the week by holding that GIANT knife to Ethan's throat after he (unwisely) tried to pick her pocket. Seriously, where was she concealing that blade, in the middle of a stone in Camelot? Then, in the middle of her typically creepy interaction with Luke, she makes an offhanded remark about Alexis, saying that "Mikkos's bastard Natasha" just wasn't any fun anymore. Yeah, good illegitimate stephchildren whose mothers you slayed in front of their very eyes are hard to find these days.
