Who's ready for the long, 4th of July weekend? We know we are. So we're not going to waste your time getting to the good stuff on "General Hospital" this week. Stuff like scandals, haircuts, brand new living arrangements, brand new jobs for space rogue Lando Calrissian, intoxicated Aussies, a brand new SORASed Molly Lansing, blackmail, Tracy being Tracy, and the giddy excitement that comes with the prospect of Karaoke Night at Jake's. Funniest Moment: Breaking news: We love Alexis and Diane. So when Alexis was feeling down in the dumps after the big sex-with-mayor scandal broke, we were elated to see Diane show up at her door with a bottle of wine in hand. Clearly, Diane not only follows her political scandal news, but she also must have somehow known that Alexis's own daughter was acting like a heinous brat. So it was out with the wine and on with the making Alexis temporarily forget her problems. Bonus points for the callback to Alexis and Diane's fateful road trip to the Litigator of the Year ceremony. As well as Alexis's explanation of the circumstances that led to her affair with Mayor Floyd: "I'd just found out my husband was sleeping with my daughter, I was undergoing chemo, I was high ... " Hey, you don't owe US an explanation, Alexis.
WTH? Moment: How about the bizarre -- yet typically Sonny -- scene where Sonny and Michael bonded over their shared distaste for Alexis. Sonny, awful parent that he is, slammed Alexis left and right, and Michael's response? "I love you, Dad." Um ... aw?

Loved the Alexis/Diane scenes, Kristina was being a real brat to her mom but I understand where she was coming from cause she idolizes her mother even though she acts out. Can't wait for them to get through this rough time, Robin and Patrick are only making things worse because of their meddling :rme.
I am also really upset about the reruns on holidays; not only the holidays themselves, but last Friday they showed reruns.
What is going on? I have watched GH and OLTL since they first started in 1968, and they used to be shown on Thanksgiving & Christmas, as well as all of the other holidays.
I always loved that!!!! After all, they are all pre~filmed, what is the reasoning behind the reruns?
I agree with the person that said soap fans don't like reruns on the holidays. That is a bummer to do that to us. Please reconsider on letting us have a full week even on holidays. Hate to miss anything and then have to wait till the first of the week to get back on track. Love that General Hospital but sick of the Emily/Rebecca, Nicolas stuff. This is old news and needs to be put to rest. Let Nick get over it and forget it. New story lines on someone else other than her ghost or twin sister. BORING......

I loved the Alexis and Diane scene. They always are so great. As well as Alexis's explanation of what led to her affair with the Mayor: "I'd just found out my husband was sleeping with my daughter, I was undergoing chemo, I was high ... " My complaints about this storyline would have to be the timeline From what I can remember of those blackout scenes ALEXIS WAS EXTREMELY ILL FROM CHEMO AND JASON TOOK HER BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEN ALEXIS WENT TO THE MC WHERE SONNY AND KRISTINA WEREAND ENDED UP STUCK THERE FROM THE BLACKOUT. WHEN DID SHE FIT IN SLEEPING WITH THE MAYOR?
I am enjoying Brandon Barash a lot, especially his scenes with Jason. I hope for more.
And I think I may like the actor who plays Dominic, so far so good.
I loved the scenes with Jason and Monica and Edward on Monday’s episode. I also loved Jason and Elizabeth and Jake on the previous Friday's episode. Do you see a pattern here? Family, love and romance. I would like more of that for the character of Jason Morgan. GIVE HIM ELIZABETH, JAKE AND THE QUARTERMAINES!!

I agree that I do not appreciate them running RERUNS on holidays when we are off work. I rearranged my whole afternoon to get to watch it yesterday, July 3rd.
Also, on Thursday night putting it an hour late (10 pm CST), when I need to go to bed because I get up at 4:20 am CST makes it too hard to stay up and watch. This has made me rethink watching the show at all.
Okay! I am in total agreement with you guys about the whole Ethan and Rebecca thing...I really wasn;t feeling this story until BAMM! that scene where he had her pinned to the bed and the drunkeness and the sadness and the desperation in his voice! WOW! Great writing and acting on all levels!
Alexis and Diane of course but I want to mention the Jolivia combe....LOVE IT! I just believe and don't get me wrong...certain people/couple combos bring the heat!!!!
Lastly, speaking of HEAT! When are we getting some JASAM! UGHHHHHHH!
