Drew Garrett has done an outstanding job in portraying Michael.....and has the maturity and talent to continue to bring the character to life. It is such a mistake, and a real slap in the face to the viewers, to arbitrarily change to another actor, for no better reason than to possibly attract the young Disney-age viewers.....?!! This is really not a soap opera I would want my Disney-age children, or grandchildren to become invested in....it is a drama for the more mature viewers, with much that is not suitable for the teen and 'tween crowd. Kudos to Drew Garrett for a really compelling portrayal of Michael, and I really hope the "Powers That Be" will re-consider and find a suitable role for young Chad, in some other Disney production, and let Drew continue to do a great job.

I've been watching the ABC's soaps since 1981. When I was in college in upstate NY, I used to tape the shows to watch them later.

I became so upset with some changes made in "All my Children" that I stopped watching it many years ago, and I did the same last year for" One Life to Live".

I was mad with GH when they let go of Michael and Emily. I was really upset that I regret having bought a DVR to record the show. When they came back with the character, I was disappointed at first that it was a different actor.

However, it did not take me long to fall in love with Drew Garrett. He is great. He has been playing the role with character. He fits right in to us the viewers. I do not know why you want to replace him. If you replace Drew, GH is going to lose a lot of viewers. GH is not for you . It is for us.

Your rationale may be viewers will get use to Chad, but I get news for you. Viewers will not watch the show after 4/20 to get use to Chad.

Please keep Drew Garrett. He is good for the show. We love him and want him as Michael.

Drew was great as Michael. What I want to know is WHY... Why recast? What happened thst TPTB are not telling us?

I am not very happy with the recast of Michael. I was just getting use to his character and now he is being changed?

Aree you CRAZY! Re-casting Drew is an INSANE decision. This actor has brought the character of Michael to such an infamous level. He has done a wonderful job! Why, why, in God's name would you do this? You really need to take a reality check on this. I am telling you this will be a HUGE mistake that will come back to bite you!
