"General Hospital": Last Week's Greatest Hits

Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) are in the best and worst moments of General Hospital the week of November 17..
ABC
Spinelli and Jason talk firearms: one of this week's best moments on "GH."

This week, "General Hospital" was all about setting up some huge-looking storylines. Sonny and Claudia got closer to walking down the aisle, Liz and Sam were forced into an alliance to keep safe, Jason plunged headlong into his battle with the Russian mob, and Tracy refused to play second fiddle for Luke's affections. What did we think of the week's events? Allow us to elaborate.

Funniest Moment: The Quartermaine Family Circus. It's been a while since we've seen the Quartermaine family let it all hang out. It's understandable, given all the tragedy they've gone through the last year or so, with Alan and Emily's deaths. They're not all the way back yet, but this week's encounter with Luke was a step in the right direction. Luke's unwelcome presence in the Q mansion is always good to get their blood boiling on a good day, much less this time, with Tracy ranting and raving to anyone who would listen (in this case: no one) that she and Luke were through. But instead of Luke getting thrown out on his ear, he made himself at home, drank Edward's bourbon, and helped himself to a massage via the meaty paws of Alice. (Alice! So good to have her back). Add to that the inherent comedy of Edward's jaunty little cap (how much of a curmudgeon can you be when you look like a Newsie?) and you've got classic Quartermaine hilarity.
