For 27 years David Canary (Adam and Stuart Chandler) kept things in Pine Valley interesting, but on April 23, Adam walked off into the sunset with longtime love Brooke English. After five emmys and over 6,000 episodes, David chose to retire.
That wasn't completely where the story ended. When the director yelled, "cut" and the cameras stopped rolling, it was time to party.
Go behind the scenes with the cast as they celebrate David. Find out what Susan Lucci (Erica), Julia Barr (Brooke), Walt Willey (Jack), and Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) had to say about their friend and star. And don't miss David's special message to the fans. Join the farewell party here.

I am going to truely miss adam chandler, may god bless you and please come back and give a lil love on the upcoming shows
I gave up watching when my beloved Zendall left & started watching again recently when they returned & watched it thru Palmer's memorial & of course, David Canary's last episode & I have to say that AMC has nothing left for me now. David Canary is a powerhouse & there's no one who could possibly fill his shoes. I wish him all the best in his retirement, but he'll be missed immensely.
He will always hold a special place on the show that NO ONE can replace. I hope that he will occasionally "visit" Pine Valley like Haley Santos has done since leaving.
yes Adam was the spark that keeped All My Children Burning! his dimmed lite will effect the show big time. miss you already!
David Canary was a rarity-- being that it is rare to find someone with his talent and capability! It was a great run David and you will be greatly missed!

I can't believe David Canary is really leaving. AMC won't be the same without him... I'm going to miss him very much... and sure I am not alone.
