When Erica Kane does something, EVERYONE takes notice. And the Associate Press is no exception -- especially when it comes to hot cougar action. Yes, the AP has a big report out today from the set of "All My Children" focusing on the upcoming May/December romance between Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Ryan Lavery (Cameron Mathison). Yes, you heard that right. They ARE going there ...

The AP says viewers were the ones pushing for the storyline after Lucci and Cameron's chemistry was made plain during their business trip that involved the broken down car, the cabin bathtub, and that "accidental slip" into Ryan's arms. These scenes, you'll remember, also featured Erica's glamour-filled, oil-soaked rant where she declared that she was sick of everyone in her life being insane; that her children had to wise up; and that she needed to focus on more important things -- namely, herself and men.

So is Susan looking forward to playing cougar to Ryan's fawn? She tells the AP:

"Think about this. I slept with his father. He slept with my daughter. There has to be, at a certain point, [thoughts of] what does he know about me? What does he think he knows about me? As an actor, there's so much material to plumb into."
