Like most of America, we were glued to our set last night watching the "Desperate Housewives" finale. So we were surprised -- pleasantly so -- when we saw Sonya Eddy, a.k.a. Nurse Epiphany Johnson on "General Hospital," pop up on our screens. Sonya played Vanessa, a nurse that Susan (Teri Hatcher) tries enlisting to change her son's birth certificate without husband Mike (James Denton) knowing. Could you really blame her? The kid's name is Maynard! Of course, Vanessa (who shared Epiphany's no-nonsense attitude) was not having the change unless BOTH parents agreed to it.
Naturally, Sonya did a great job. We love seeing actors from one show guest-starring on another. "Desperate," in particular, seems to be a haven for actors from shows we love here at SOAPnet.com. You've got former "Melrose Place" stars Doug Savant and Marcia Cross playing Tom and Bree (BTW, Marcia used to be on "One Life to Live" as Kate Sanders). Llanview might as well double for Wisteria Lane; Tuc Watkins (Bob on "Housewives") is currently playing David Vickers on "One Life to Live," and Nathan Fillion (Llanview's most remembered Joey Buchanan) is now costarring on "Housewives" as Katherine's husband, Adam. "The Young and the Restless" also feels the love: Eva Longoria Parker used to play psycho Isabella (remember when she tried to kill Christine in the tub?), while Lyndsy Fonseca (Dylan) once played Colleen Carlton.
What are some of your favorite cases of one actor guest-starring on another show?
