Emmys Outstanding Drama: It's Good!

JPI

In a nutshell: OMG and way to go!

The Daytime Emmy nominations aired live on "The View" today, and, like "Hot Topics," there were a lot of surprises. But not so much in the Outstanding Drama Series category:

We totally agree with the whole list! The "General Hospital" "24"-inspired Metro Court hostage story was AWESOME. Between Asa's death and Prom Night: The Musical, "One Life to Live" delivered emotions and daytime firsts. So we're glad they're getting props.

"The Young and the Restless" had a mixed year last year, but the show is really like eating waffles: It's good, even when it's not so good. The cast is just so excellent. So kudos to them. We'll be curious to see if "Guiding Light" gets a best show nomination next year, since that's when the controversial new-look episodes will be eligible.
