Eden Riegel Joins Y&R
Huge casting news, soap fans. Former All My Children actress Eden Riegel is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless.
Eden -- who teased fans with the news yesterday on her Twitter feed -- will be taking over the role of Genoa City's hottest A.D.A., Heather Stevens, according to CBS Soaps in Depth. Vail Bloom has played the part since 2007.
UPDATE!
CBS has now confirmed Eden's casting, releasing the following statement:
"The role of 'Heather' has been re-cast with EDEN RIEGEL. Many of you may know her from her Emmy Award-winning role as 'Bianca' on AMC. Eden will start the week of March 15th."
A little background on what the one-time Bianca Montgomery has to look forward to as Heather: AWESOME dad Paul Williams; some sordid history with Y&R's baddest guy, Adam Newman; and a whole lot of serious crimes to try. Because for a small town in Wisconsin, GC's got some felons.
We can't wait to see Eden take on a role so different from Binks!

She is the sole reason I stopped watching AMC. I could not stand her whinning to and about her mother. She cried the entire time she was on the show. I will not stand around and watch her destroy what Heather put together.
what a mistake to replace Vail Bloom.......she did a great job and I can't imagine this actress as a lawyer...Y&R blew it this time

On today's edipsode of the Y&R I finally see Katherine for the dishonest person she really is, she was cruel to Jill. She used Jill and Billy to do her dirty work for her so she is able to turn it all around and blame Jill again, when she is really saying "Thank you for doing my dirty work for me." I felt bad for Jill, but I am happy that Billy sees through Katherine. Hopefully, he will help his mother through this ordeal.
The story line with Adam is beginning to close in and it is time for Ashley to know the truth. The dream episode was very dramatic and Sharon and Ashley did a great and convincing job playing their roles. Well done!
Heather Stevens had not much to do on Y+R, I dont think anybody will miss the caracter.

Glad to see Eden do something different; she is an amazing actress. Poor Ms. Bloom can't act her way out of a paper bag...It will be great to see the role of Heather mature and deepen with Eden at the helm.
Makes me a little sad. No more Bianca on AMC.
