Hello darkness, my old friend. Death comes knocking on Edie's door.

The rumors have been circulating for awhile now that Nicollette Sheridan would be leaving the hit show "Desperate Housewives" by the end of this season. ABC has even confirmed this, but the question everybody has been asking is HOW? The gossips were predicting she'd not just be moving away from Wisteria Lane, but rather that she'd be killed off.

How? Electrocution! Everyone from Dlisted to the National Enquirer is speculating that Edie makes friendly with a power line and joins Mary Alice at the pearly gates. Actually, considering it's Edie, she's probably going straight to hell. "It will be one of the most bizarre character deaths in TV history," per the Enquirer. So, really, who knows if that's true. But it made us think about our two favorite TV deaths, lady lawyer Rosalind Shays falling down an elevator shaft on "L.A. Law" and Jeremy Hunter being plaster-of-paris'd to death on "Loving" (We mean, what?)

We wonder what the lovely Ms. Sheridan, star of "Knots Landing" and "Noises Off," will do next ... Maybe she should move in on "90210" and show those girls how it's done.
