"Desperate" Gaby Attacks Man in Wheelchair

ABC

Paraplegic actor-activist Mitch Longley spent three years on "General Hospital" spin-off "Port Charles" as Dr. Matt Harmon, a sexy surgeon with salt-and-pepper hair, who rocked the operating room AND the bedroom. Now he rolls onto the April 20 episode of "Desperate Housewives," when Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) has a politically incorrect clash with a man in a wheelchair.

"This might raise some eyebrows," Mitch told SOAPnet.com. "Gaby parks in a handicap space at the supermarket, and I confront her about it as she's loading her groceries into the car. It's really very funny. I start calling the police, and she throws my cell phone across the parking lot. We end up getting into a crazy, physical fight!"

Mitch became disabled in a 1983 car accident, but that hasn't kept him from enjoying a successful acting career. "I'm quietly pleased with the way it's been going for me all these years," he said. "I've never gone too long without working."

He was on "Judging Amy" for three seasons and the entire five-year run of "Las Vegas." But "Port Charles" is still special for Mitch, mostly because of his on-screen romance with Debbi Morgan, who played no-nonsense Dr. Ellen Burgess on that soap.

"Debbi Morgan is a goddess," Mitch enthused. "The older she gets, the younger she looks. She's an outrageously beautiful woman, and her talent is so deep. She taught me some serious lessons as an actor that I have never forgotten."

But back to Gaby: We love her, but fighting with a disabled dude! Can she get any lower?
