Daytime Comings and Goings: Lynn Herring Returns to Daytime

Michael and Marcie get ready to shuffle out of Llanview next week.Curious about what stars are on their way to your favorite soaps -- and which ones are leaving? Here's our updated list, alphabetical by show, of the comings and goings all across the daytime map.

All My Children
Former "Guiding Light" star Stephanie Gatschet (the former Tammy Layne Winslow on "GL") joins the Pine Valley crew as Madison North (wife of the district attorney) on June 19th.

Looks like a tornado isn't enough to keep a good woman down, because Amanda Baker returns to Pine Valley as Babe Carey Chandler. Okay, she's a ghost, but regardless, in addition to her appearance last week, she'll show up again on June 29th.

As the World Turns
NEW: Big-time fan favorite Lynn Herring (the excellent Lucy Coe on "General Hospital" and "Port Charles") will make her way to Oakdale starting July 24th as Audrey, Henry Holeman's gold-digging mom. You may resume breathing any time.

NEW: Heads up, Noah and Luke, the Colonel's back: Daniel Hugh Kelly returns as Noah's dad on June 23rd.

Crashing through a skylight can only keep a good man down for so long. Forbes March, the former Nash Brennan on "One Life to Live," is set to join the "ATWT" cast as Noah's college advisor Mason. Mason's a gay just like Noah's a gay, so read into that what you will.

I don't watch the two shows that Lynn Herring has been on, but didn't she have a brief role as someone's gay shrink on AMC? Lonngg ago. I do not always remember the names of current, let alone past, actors, but I remember thinking she was terrific! Obviously other shows noticed her too.

I am really uoset with CBS for screwing with shows that has a history that no other network and say. I grew up watchinh soaps especially tthe Guiding Light and keeping up with th people of Springfield/ Thu the ups and downs so many people has went thur the hearaches and the joys and the many funny thing that has made this show what it is. But CBS has decided just because the rateings are off that it;s run its\course,WRONG. Have the big shots at CBS lost what sense they had at one time. What other network can say they have the longest running soap in history. Maybe if they had forcus on the belove characters that brought CBS to where it has been for 50 years. The big wigs should quit bring in new characters abd use what they have alone.
I believe thay CBS should reconsider theit decision the remove guiding light , The many fans that has watch sine the begining and the children tahat grew up hearing about the Bowers and the Spauldings and the heartaches and the joys and troubles that Reva, Alan and theothers has gone thur and ralley back. The storylines that touch so many in the years gone by. CBS is hurting themselves and pushing fans to ABC because that it;s seem that CBS does not care about the many, many, many fans that has kept up with the good people of Springfield. Stop forcusing on bringing the young things in and give the soap vets the story line. Not only are they messing with the longest running soap but now they are messing with another soap that people has follow over the years. The Young and the Restless would not be what it is without Nicky and Victor. Thur all the brakeups and the problems we always new that they would find their way back to each other. The fans know that they .really love eah other and will over come anything together. CBS thinks rateings are bad now way till therr no Victor and Nicky then lookout for even worss rateing Melody is only asking that she be left with what she is being paid now. If they woukl=ld quit bring new characters and keep ths strory line for the soap vet then things would be a lot better. The soaps are losing rateings because of the story lines are for the young peole not the ones that has always been in port charles. All the soaps have loss what is most iimportant and that is that more women are having to work and not getting to tune in like they use too. But I bet that most are recording them so thay can watch later. I;m not dumb I know that ratings are a bid deal but is it not better to keep the good actors that are a natural than replce with new young and not as good ass the ones we grew up with. It;s sad that the two soaps that has always been a CBS fan pleaser is no longer what matters just the all mighty buck. Threr has to be a bettwer way to handle this that to write offf the longest running soap and the princess of soaps(Jeannie Cooper is the queen of CBS soaps) CBS please reconsider the mistake that you about to make. Look at Days since the beloved characters John and Marlana left Days has become a very boarding soap. Pleas consider the dumbing of guiding lights and our Nicky. thankyou bluedarling
