Days of our Lives: Week in Review for September 28, 2009

Nicole is obviously shocked by something here ... she can't be surprised that EJ has finally figured out (part of) her ruse, can she?
The time of reckoning is FINALLY at hand -- the forecasted return of Carly Manning has come ... albeit very briefly, at the end of today's (Friday, 10/2) episode. That fleeting glimpse gave us SO much to look forward to next week! But for now, let's get down to brass tacks -- what tickled our fancy this week in the town of Salem?
Funniest Moment: We've previously mentioned that Days has been lacking in the "funny-ha-ha" department lately, right? Most of the show's humor has been somewhat unintentional (at least to our untrained eye), in that it comes from snarky asides thrown away by the town's villains. Case in point: Victor's scathing responses to Daniel's engagement news. Our favorite was this one: Henderson the Butler (love him!) compliments Victor on his seemingly gracious handling of Chloe ... Victor's response: "Yes, it was, wasn't it? Not that the cheap slut deserved it." MEOW!
We also enjoyed Victor's newly refined opinion of Mrs. Kate DiMera: "Little did I know she was a homicidal maniac." Fo'real.
WTH? Moment: A coupla things bugged us this week, actually. First, it's hard to believe it's only been a couple of days since Chloe came out of her coma. She looks totes fabulous, don't get us wrong -- but don't most coma victims need some kind of physical therapy after lying in a vegetative state for a few months? Or is that just us? Secondly, we're a little perturbed that Mia has broken up with Will. He's such a cutie, and he's so nice to boot! He didn't mean anything by telling mom Sami the baby secret! We're betting there's something up Mia's sleeve, something to keep Chad from finding "her" baby ...

Sadly the train wreck continues.
The best day this week was Friday, Rafe looks so alone, but at least he remembers Sami and that her baby is alive, so this is a good thing.
Meredith is a real nutjob, she can give Nicole a run for her money.
EJ goes way over the top with his ranting and ravings it’s not believable. Nicole just can’t learn, she just keeps lying and lying to everyone even herself.
I like Brady and Sami being a family and friends, discussing their lives. And Brady is going to feel like a real jerk when he finds out Nicole been lying to him too.
I hope they keep EJ, Nicole, Kate and Stefano living under one roof, I can see the fireworks already.

I just wish Nicole would've told EJ the truth from the very beginning. If she needed a baby for him to love her, then it wasn't worth it! Brady loves her for who she is, all her faults and everything. He would've loved her and taken care of her. And I think Nicole deep down loves him too, she's just so blinded by her obsession with EJ. And I'm ELATED to see the trio from Passions back together again on MY favorite soap! Keep it up! I think Sami could bond with Mia, being that she also was a young mother. Mia is so confused right now, and I'm really torn on who she should be with. Same with Melanie - Nathan would be really good for her, yet I would like to see her with Philip because she loves and accepts him - career, family and all. Stephanie needs to shut her self-righteous mouth and leave Salem for good! If she can't accept Philip for who he is, don't try to change him! Maybe date Nathan instead - he's a goody-goody like her...
