Days of our Lives: Week in Review for October 5, 2009

It's been quite the trying week for EJ. Can't say we blame him for getting so upset ...
The Salem drama we've come to know and love was in full effect this week -- from the escalating danger on Carly's plane, to Nicole almostbutnotquite coming completely clean to (a totally wrecked) EJ, to Stefano collapsing in the middle of Chez Rouge, we didn't lack for nuthin'. What were our favorite parts? Read on!
Funniest Moment: We'd like to thank the DiMera butler, whom we'll call Jeeves just for giggles, for providing us two of the only LOL moments this week saw. (Not that we NEEDED those LOL moments, cuz we were riveted by the seriousness of it all, but you know.) Sami -- who was forced to take care of Sydney for the night (more on that in a bit) -- rang the infamous DiMera "I need some household help!" bell, summoning Jeeves from his sleep. Upon entering the living room, Jeeves said: "Excuse me, Mrs. Former DiMera ... " -- which we just thought was so random and awesome. Later, he actually uttered the words "We broke the baby." We know, right?! We <3 Jeeves!
WTH? Moment: OK, so does Chloe have an aversion to babies or what? When Sami showed up with Johnny at the DiMera mansion, Chloe practically shoved poor little Sydney into Sami's arms so that she could leave (and go back to the hospital -- and Daniel, natch). We thought Chloe had softened up that kinda bitchy aspect of her personality, but apparently not. You just told someone their father had a heart attack, and you can't find the time to take care of their adorable baby for a few hours? Shameful.
Best Moment: For sheer shock value, we so enjoyed seeing Lawrence -- murdered (we think?) only hours earlier -- appear to Carly as the plane she was taking to Salem jostled through some serious, prayer-inducing turbulence. It was totally creepy, and put a lot more perspective on Carly's reasons for leaving. We can't wait to see where the story goes next week ...
Performer of the Week: We know she was part of last week's winning pair of performers, but we're gonna have to go with Arianne Zucker again this week. Seeing her agonize over whether to tell EJ the whole truth -- and basically admitting that EJ's Sydney's real father (though he doesn't believe it) -- was heart-wrenching, to say the least. We don't agree AT ALL with what she did, but we're starting to at least understand her motives -- and that's mainly due to Arianne's performance. Kudos!
Why We Love Days of our Lives This Week: Because Kate is still deliciously mean, to EVERYONE; because baby Sydney is still "The Cutest Baby on TV©"; and because we always enjoy seeing '90s-era Days footage used in flashbacks (a welcome distraction this week, re: Carly/Bo/Lawrence).

I have never been a days watcher, and I'm still not really I already watch 4 so... But I watch my soaps sometimes on the soap channel. Days comes on right after GH. One night I left the channel on, and was reading or something. This night was when that girl switched Sammie's baby with the teenagers baby. So since then I have being following this story. I know lots of people that watch this soap, and they all say it is good. I just never picked it up because I watch so many anyway. But it is as good as I have been told, and yes I have to follow this story till the end. Now that Bo and and Hope are having trouble, I'm getting sucked in more and more. But the story I following, is to say the least a very good one.
Well, Monday's show wasn't even worth watching. so BOREING!!! Show over and over about this Carly, So what if she killed her husband. now I supposse this will fill in for all the time we need to see the rest of the baby thing. Drag on Drag on!! At least EJ isn't letting Nichole beat him up over Sydney. Hope he stands his ground and not let her talk him to letting her back in his life. I never liked EJ and Nichole together, shes such a liar and a deceiver. Now they have made Sami such a goody too shoes. It sucks!! Hope Sami does something to Nichole for stealing her baby and letting her think Mia's baby was hers. EJ and Sami are good toether but I don't think they will get back together. shes in love with Rafe and there good together On with It!!!
ok why did u have to kill off lawrence of of days,i'm so mad,i know a lot of people hated him,and i did at first but,i grew to like him,micheal sabatino is a very talented and awesome actor,i hope to god dool is going to bring him back from the dead.when carly and lawrence left days they were so happy,i know things change,but COME ON! she stabbed him with no feeling for a man she was with for 15 years,don't get me wrong,i love crystal,she is a wonderful actress but why did they bring him back at all if they were just going to kill him off.
I want to see Melanie happy, with whomever she loves more, Philip or Nathan. Stephanie is a stuck-up high and mighty beeotch, and she needs to stop leading Philip on and trying to change him. It would not break my heart at all to see her off the show. I totally hated Melanie in the beginning, but we're getting to know her and I think she's growing up. Nathan is good for her, but I think she belongs with Philip.

I'm with doolyr~~I don't like seeing EJ (or anyone else) the way he was yelling and screaming!! I don't even like him anyway!!
I want to know where Rafe is!! He's been missing a whole week!! No one has even mentioned Rafe, his sister or Meridith all week!!
I want Sammi to get Sydney back and the sooner the better and put LYING Nichole in Jail where she belongs.
I couldn't care less about Nichole, EJ, Stephano, Kate, Carly and Lawrence. You could leave them all out!!
Another uneventful week! I don’t enjoy watch EJ man-handle, scream, and belittle his wives.
I did enjoy Victor and Kate when Victor said “you just can’t seem to get the dosage right”.
Why did we have to watch 3 days for Carly stabbing Lawrence? I don’t think Lawrence is dead. Why bring him back for 2 minutes of air time.
Some were predicting a new beginning for EJ and Sami, but I didn’t see any sparks fly between them, maybe dislike for each other. I did like Sami warning EJ not to threaten her brother. Once a manipulating, ruthless, and ironfisted Dimera, also one, EJ will never change!
