Days of our Lives: Week in Review for October 26, 2009

Sami ... ever so close to finding out her baby is still alive!
The good folks of Salem didn't participate in much Halloween revelry this week -- at least, not consciously. We did have people in costume (Carly), trick-or-treating (Chad ringing the DiMera doorbell once again), even a Wicked Witch of the West making an appearance (VIVIAN!). What other spooky delights did we enjoy? Read on for our rundown:
Funniest Moment: Again, not much with "the funny" on Days this week. But there were two chuckle-worthy moments that stood out for us. First, we love it when Stefano tells it like it is. After Nicole's aborted trip to Rio, she shows up at his hospital bedside to give him a piece of her mind. Instead, Stefano admits he enjoys Nicole's gumption in the face of total annihilation. "You're like those brave men at the Alamo," he said. "Dead, but brave." The Phoenix is totes funny.
Runner-up is the moment when Bo first saw Carly (cloaked in black) in the light of his living room: "You look like Agent 99!" We love a good Get Smart reference any day of the week.
WTH? Moment: This is actually a holdover WTH? from last week, but it still holds true. Does anyone else find it weird that Sami gave Nicole FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS to run away to Brazil with Sydney? First of all, they've only just gotten to be friends after years of bitterness. And second, how does Sami have that kind of money laying around? We need new friends, yo.
Best Moment: Umm, can we just tell you how rad it was to see Vivian on Friday's episode? We cannot WAIT until she makes it back to Salem to hunt down Lawrence's killer (aka Carly). This is a woman who buried Carly alive last time 'round, so god only knows what she'll do now!
Performer of the Week: Despite our WTH-ing, we're giving this week's award to Alison Sweeney as Sami Brady. Her character is still on the surface of the whole baby-switch scenario, but she's making the most of what info she has. For what it's worth, she's dedicated to helping Nicole -- and will even stand up to Stefano to do so. And we also can't help but enjoy the underlying sexual tension that still exists between Sami and EJ. A portent of things to come ... ? Good work, Ali!
Why We Love Days of our Lives This Week: Because only Stefano would formulate a plan to keep his granddaughter that involves making a 16-year-old look like the town hussy ... and because even in a weakened state, Rafe was still -- FINALLY -- able to tell someone else that Sydney is really Sami's baby. At last, he can share that burden of knowledge!

Why hasn't anyone told Samantha about the baby switch yet. She's to cute to suffer without her baby.
Nicole needs to pay for her lie's and deception. Making Mia lie about her past. Mia should have never stuck out for Nicole, she should have said the truth!
Hope, as beautiful as she is, needs to stop acting like a young 15 yr old and work out the issues with Bo.
I think that the baby switch has been going on to long,and Bo and Hope need to stay together,that crap with carly and Bo stink's,Rafe and Sami make a good couple,keep them together.

the baby switch will not come to light until nicole goes on maternity leave so i have made peace with myself until then. i wonder if dr. baker will come and back up rafes story because he is not dead he is very much alive. niccole sank to a new low on friday to manipulate mia the way she did and then turn around acting like she was sorry after she got mia feeling compelled to do what it takes for sydney.
Come on people. Let's stop the insanity, bring this baby switch s/l to a head and let Sami find out the baby is hers!!! I just hope Rafe gets to be the one to tell her so they can get back together. SEND NICOLE AND EJ TO PRISON WHERE THEY BELONG!!! GET BO AND HOPE BACK TOGETHER!!! Find someone else for Carly to mess with. Why on earth would the PTB bring Carly back anyway, all she is is a "Huge thorn in Bo and Hope's already troubled marriage." Hope needs to wake up and go home to Bo. They are still the "supercouple" of the show and belong together. BRING JEN BACK!!! Now that Scott Reeve's is coming back to GH, let Missy come back to Days.
THIS WHOLE BABY SWITCH THING IS REALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH GET IT ALL OUT AND MOVE ON TO ANOTHER STORY LINE ALREADY....It is so stupid to make Mia lie yet again. Nicole needs to hurry up and leave the show making a child just keep on lying for her own satisfication. Bo needs to move on with his life Hope is playing really crazy right now. Melanie needs to stop playing and get with Phillip, she has wanted him for so long now she has the chance and is willing to give it up. THEY R MADE FOR EACH OTHER and so r Stephanie and Nathan. I think Vivan being back is going to bring an interesting storyline to Salem

I liked Sami taking on Stefano
When Carly first came on the show I liked her, but by the end of this week she just fizzled out.
Where the heck did Vivian get that hat, she looked like she had a bird on her head.
Sydney will be forty and they will still be fighting over her.
I just can’t take much more whining from EJ, Nicole, Chad and Stefano I FF or hit my mute button so I don’t have to listen or watch.
I liked Rafe in his plaid lumberjack shirt, to date he is the best eye-candy on TV or movies.
The rest of the S/L are just plain boring
Let’s hope November is better then this months shows.
