The Phoenix rises again! But will he ever be as powerful as he once was?

"Desperation" was the theme of the week of Days of our Lives; Nicole was desperate to keep Sydney away from Chad, who was desperate to get back at Mia, who was desperate for help from Sami ... you get the picture. Not to mention Carly's frantic effort to save Rafe, EJ's wish for Stefano's recovery (it came true, partially), and Brady and Arianna's impulsive hope to rekindle their relationship. We enjoyed many aspects of this week's adventures; read on and see if you agree!

Funniest Moment: We love Victor Kiriakis's random sense of humor, and nowhere was it more apparent this week than during his run-in with Arianna at the Brady Pub. Their conversation was priceless. Arianna asks, "What can I get you?" Victor answers, "How 'bout some cocaine?" -- LOL! -- then pretends to diffuse the situation by countering, "Just a little joke." Arianna, awkwardly, responds with: "Don't quit your day job." Too true. But in a town full of strife, we take what we can get.

Runner-up: When Chad realized that Nicole was a porn actress (Misty Circle!) he'd seen before, Nicole countered that several people think she looks like someone in showbiz -- including one of the Real Housewives of Orange County. We love when daytime shows include current pop culture tidbits!
