Days of our Lives: Week in Review for October 12, 2009

So many stories are so tantalizingly close to resolution on Days of our Lives -- we love watching how the folks involved react as things unfold. Like Chad finally realizing that Nicole "adopted" Mia's "baby" (use of quotes very intentional) ... or how we're starting to get (some) answers as to why Carly killed Lawrence. Let's get to our weekly rundown of the latest and greatest, shall we?
Funniest Moment: Have we mentioned lately that Days has been short on laughs? We have? Good, cuz this week wasn't any different -- which is just fine 'n' dandy ... though we do like a chuckle every once and a while. It's good for the soul. Anyhoo, the closest we came to LOLing was when Daniel called baby Sydney his "new BFF." Because hearing the term "BFF" come out of Daniel Jonas's mouth is pretty entertaining.
WTH? Moment: We weren't short on WTH moments this week, however -- and several related to Carly's plight. First, do doctors really bring up the Hippocratic Oath at significant times like Carly did when she and Omar found Rafe? It's surely not the first time a soap doctor has committed to "First, do no harm" -- we're just wondering if real-life doctors think about it as often. Second, and most WTH: What was with those noises Rafe was making when Carly was administering CPR? Aren't you, like, dead at that point in time? It sounded like Carly was hurting him, and he was awake to realize it. Very weird (and yet strangely compelling ... ).
Best Moment: Did anyone else notice that baby Sydney looked (longingly) back at the DiMera mansion door just after EJ threw her and Nicole out? It was either brilliant acting by the youngest member of the Days cast ... or, more likely, a happy coincidence. But OMG is that baby cute?! And so well behaved.
Runner-up: We definitely enjoyed seeing Arianna and Brady reconnect. If he ever needed a friend (or more?), it's right now. Being part of the whole Nicole baby switch is really doing a number on his fragile psyche.
Performer of the Week: Speaking of Brady, we think Eric Martsolf really ran the gamut this week -- and had the five o'clock shadow to prove it. Several women -- Melanie, Sami -- realized that maybe the reason Brady helped Nicole isn't just cuz he's a nice guy; maybe he's still in love with her. Eric's performance this week showed how much Brady's wrestling not only with his feelings for his former flame, but also about being part of such a HUGE, illegal lie. Well played, Mr. M.
Why We Love Days of our Lives This Week: Because Bo busted out a photo album containing awesome old skool pictures of him and Hope -- most featuring his former Beard That Almost Overtook His Face. We love looking back to the past!!

nicols do not need sami baby. we all no why nicols want to keep that baby. o k so she can stay in the money. rafe dont need sami either . no man can get along with her. her and e j need to be togather, they are two of a kind. they both need to no that is their baby. sami love e j and e j love sami. sami is not going to chang e j ,but she are the only one can do any thing with him. all those baby,s need to be togather to no each other. do what you want with nicol PICE OUT
okay so im going to say this again Melanie and Phillip need to be together he needs someone who doesnt judge him and nathan and stephanie need to be together they are both goody goodys. This whole thing with sami finding out about her baby needs to hurry up and happen its getting really really old!!! Hope needs to leave the show for awhile if she cant forgive Bo bringing up all this old stuff not very apealing or interesting. Nicole and Chad gross. Lexie and Abe need more air time they have always been a super couple as well. I still dont understand why they released belle and Sean they are much better actors then most of the new cast (but not all) i really like Melanie
I would like to see Nicole leave Salem for a while and take Sydney with her, she is a good mom to Syndey I hate to see her loose her. Sami and EJ will be fine on their own.
Does anyone know who plays the part of Merideth Hudson, the sister of Rafe Hernandez's late fiancee Emily?
She looks so familar if you don't know her name but you do know where we may have seen her before, please advise.

I think that we must wait until sweeps week for all the drama to come out about Nicole and Sidney.
Sami will soon find out, probably the week of November 2nd that Sidney is her baby, We will see soon I hope!!!
Let the baby switch storyline come to an end and let Sami find out 'her baby is alive and well', and let her and Mia both go off on Nicole. Let Sami and Rafe "GET FULL CUSTODY OF SYDNEY", and FINALLY GET BACK TOGETHER. Bring Rafe back to Sami, and let Nicole and EJ both get the prison time they deserve. Sami, Rafe and Sydney deserve to be happy, after all the agony Sami has been through with Grace. Let Bo and Hope get back on track before Carly ruins things for them. We know she's going to take advantage of their separation. I love the chemistry between Brady and Arianna, they are awesome together.
I did not watch DAYS in the 90's, so I am interested in seeing what "Carly" & "Vivian" have to offer. Hopefully, they offer enough that NBC does not cancel DAYS this spring!
In my mind there was not anything that was outstanding!
I love nicoles conection with sydney shame that the storyline reflects on the whole babyswich thing cause she such a good mother. and I hope they turn the story around like something else happend so that is nicoles real baby. I think the story will end around the of dec. Prob . close to it.
