FINALLY! We knew it was happening this week, but we were still waiting with bated breath for the moment Rafe told Sami that Sydney is really her biological child (with DNA evidence to back up his claim, no less)! It was heartwarming and heartbreaking all in one instant ... which is why most of our Days best moments this week relate to it. For said moments, read on!
Funniest Moment: Once again, most of the chuckle-worthy moments this week came not out of the actual storylines, but out of the actors' performances themselves. Cases in point: when the maid left Kate with baby Sydney as she ran out to help her sister; the look Nicole threw EJ when he questioned her regarding Sydney's whereabouts (it was akin to the immortal Diff'rent Strokes "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" look); and when EJ actually used the term "old bean" in total seriousness. Silly!
WTH? Moment: We may have mentioned this before, but don't Salem's citizens have an amazing knack for coming upon conversations they shouldn't be hearing? And what brings everyone to the docks so often ? Is there a particularly good Red Lobster nearby? This week's convo/dock-related WTH? award goes to Nathan overhearing Philip leave a message for Melanie, questioning her feelings for him. We wish we were that lucky in real life ...
Best Moment: Well, duh! This week's best moment -- or series of moments, rather -- was when Rafe told Sami about Sydney. The mixture of joy and pain that washed over Sami's face as she put two and two together was amazing to watch. And when she angrily questioned Rafe about the validity of his statements, he stayed so calm and cool, bringing up all the strange coincidences that led to his theory (and its legitimacy) ... really, it was the stuff good daytime is made of.
Performer of the Week: As evidenced by the above paragraph, this week's award goes to Alison Sweeney as Sami Brady. When she let down her guard and realized that yes, her baby is alive -- well, we're kinda glad we had some tissues nearby. All this begs the question: Why hasn't she been nominated for a Daytime Emmy yet? We must remedy this!
Why We Love Days of our Lives This Week: Because even Kate thinks Baby Sydney is THE CUTEST EVER; because we enjoy any time that EJ can remind us he's a lawyer and that Chloe can sing a tune; and because we wonder what connection Carly has to Mia ... there's gotta be something!
What was your favorite part of Days?

Yeah, why does Carly take such a deep interest in Mia? and if she DOES turn out to be her mother, then who's the father? more trouble for hope. (maybe)...
The "Oxymoronic 'Racy Puritan' Moment of the Week" surely goes to the closeup of Sami tearing Rafe's belt buckle apart, and, then - just as things are getting really hot-'n'-heavy - the camera shields us from the scandalous doings, by scurrying behind a strategically-placed bouquet of flowers. Belated modesty simply forbids! XD
i was so glad when ej heard adrianna mention the DNA test
when she was leaving a message for Rafe
i can't wait for everything to blow up in nicole's face
i'm sick of the whole carly story line
sick if vivian too
bo and hope should be together
phillip is too hot for words, he and melanie should be together
also, sick of the sami/ rafe thing
sami and ej should be together
ej is too hot
I never thought of them being twins, but I had thought of them related. We all know the blood lines in Salem can get kind of confusing from time to time. I think Allison should be nominated and win an emmy. She is truly fantastic. I was kind of disappointed to have to wait for all of the fights, reunions etc until this week though.
WOW!!! What an AWESOME week! SAFE knocked it out of the park this week. Finally a love story on DAYS! Can't wait for next week!!! SAFE ROCKS!!!
Since they brought Carly back, she might be Mia or Jad's mother.
The baby isn't really Allison Sweeney's LOL!
And Matchase, theres rumors swirling that Mia could be Carly's daughter. Perhaps Carly had a baby with either Bo or LAwrence and gave it up for adoption, and Mia is that adopted baby. Or Chad, who knows! Nothing has been confirmed...I'm not believeing any of it ;).
My theory is that Chad and Mia are Fraternal Twins separated at birth! Carly had twins, again with either Bo or Lawrence, and gave them up for adoption. And they are in Salem now! I'm thinking the reason why baby Grace got sick and died so sudden, was because of a birth defect caused by Chad and Mia being to close to each other (brother and sister! Incestuous stuff like that causes defects in babies if you do that.). I'm hoping my theory is true, that would be so awesome...Chad and Mia being brother and Sister all this time. Hey, they look alike LOL! And it's Days ;). We'll see..
is it true that the baby playing sydney is sami's (allison sweeny) baby in real life?
I'm so confused about this "mother, child" connection going on with Mia and Carly/ Chad and Carly. Can anyone enlighten me?
