Really, this was a week for the record books on Days of our Lives. Jealousy aplenty. Love reignited. Sarcophaguses readied. And, perhaps most importantly, REVENGE SERVED. Let's get on with our favorite moments, shall we?
Funniest Moment: These weren't so much laugh-out-loud moments ... more like "If we don't chuckle, we'll need to ball ourselves up into the fetal position" moments -- and they were both courtesy of Vivian. We found out that not only has Viv actually buried sweet Isabella's remains in a pet cemetery (!), but she also plans to feed Maggie alcohol-infused gruel (yes, really) through a tube once she's entombed in that sarcophagus. Umm ... wow.
WTH? Moment: We're a little surprised that Stefano and Kate would leave poor, drunken EJ all alone in the mansion ... seeing as how he'd been acting totes erratic the entire week. The man just lost his family -- and the woman that he might've actually loved a little kinda sorta; perhaps staying with him to offer familial support would've been nice?
aHAHAHA! Oh, who are we kidding? This is Stefano we're talking about.
Best Moment: Not because we endorse or condone anyone shooting themselves or others -- we're pacifists here at SOAPnet.com HQ! -- but that entire sequence of EJ contemplating suicide ... followed by Sami's searching through the DiMera mansion, yelling all the while ... and ending with Sami shooting EJ was extremely riveting. We had a feeling Sami would snap one of these days, and boy howdy did that day come! (Do you think EJ will survive? Comment below!)
Performer of the Week: As evidenced by the above, we're giving this week's award to James Scott as EJ DiMera. While we firmly believe EJ's a jerk and should've never stolen Sydney (obvs), we're also starting to think he really did develop feelings for Sami again ... and the sadness and pain that caused him to drink himself into a stupor and rough up Nicole before wondering whether he should just end it all? Well, it was powerful, well-acted stuff. Kudos, James!
Why We Love Days of our Lives This Week: Because Bo, Carly, and Ciara's fishing trip started out really awkward but ended sweetly; because nothing says "I'm feeling guilty about shooting the man I was about to marry" like having sex with your now-fiance; because something big's gonna come from this whole uptick in the DiMera/Kiriakis feud; and because Stephanie just won't give up, will she?
What was your favorite part of Days?
