So with his father, the great Stefano DiMera, being held captive by Victor, what is EJ to do? This week, Victor demands that EJ sign over all of DiMera Enterprises in order for Stefano to be released. Say what you will about the ethics of keeping a man held captive against his will, but Victor's a good businessman.
So since EJ can't take the Kiriakises down on his own, he enlists some help. Enter Owen, the Creepy Gardener with Secrets. And their first target isn't Victor, or even Philip ... it's Stephanie. The poor girl ends the week drugged and kidnapped. Philip, Victor? It's your move.
Speaking of Philip making a move, before the whole kidnapping ugliness goes down, Stephanie accepts Philip's marriage proposal. Happy news, right? Well, not if you're Melanie, who doesn't mask her disappointment all that well. And not if you're Grandma Caroline, who warns Steph about what life with a Kiriakis man is all about. Sure, Caroline's being a total meddler, but a) she knows of what she speaks considering her longstanding relationship with Victor, and b) it looks like she'll be proved correct. You know, with the kidnapping and all?
