After a 16-year absence from the show, Crystal Chappell returns to Days of our Lives as Dr. Carly Manning Alamain -- aka Katerina von Leuschner, European Bluebood -- this Friday, October 2nd! Since we here at SOAPnet.com are nothing if not generous, we're here to provide you with not only a quick update on Crystal the Actress, but also a refresher course on Carly the Character ... and what her return might mean for the town of Salem.
We're big, big fans of Crystal -- and we have been ever since she first came on the Days scene as Carly in June 1990. But you may or may not know that Days wasn't Crystal's first daytime gig; she appeared as a day player on All My Children in 1989, followed by a brief sojourn on Santa Barbara. Navigating the soap world ever since, Crystal joined One Life to Live after her Days stint ended (she played clowning enthusiast Maggie Carpenter from 1995 till '97), and moved on to the role of Olivia Spencer on Guiding Light in 1999.

No ideas but, I'm still waiting on the shocking twist. To this day Bo knows however in order to help Carly she has to tell Mr Lawyer man the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It's exciting though to see him distracted now and out of Hope's face maybe now Bo can stop accusing him of having the hots for his wife.
Why did Carly stab Lawrence? Any ideas?

I remember Crystal's first run as Carly fondly as it was around the time I started to watch Days and can't wait for Carly, Lawrence and the wild Vivian to return to Salem! It should be a lot of fun!
I am glad that CC is comming back I watched her on GL loved her until she turned gay. As for the comment on BO & Hope that Carly may break them up I think that she would be good for BO. After all hope has done nothing but be stupid and push BO away. So it was like I said maybe she needs to loose BO to relize what she had. Writers make it GOOD!!!!!
CC is going to blaze in and make a hugh contribution in her return. She's bringing lots of new fans from GL (like me) so I hope this fantastic actress will get some great writing and lots of airtime. What a gem for Days; her hubby too and JL would be a great acquisition as well.
i have been watching days for my whole life and i dont want bo and hope to split up............ carly coming back seems to be trouble huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was a die heart GL fan and CC fan for life so i am following her back to DOOL. Can't wait !!!
