Courtney Cox taught him how to kiss on Cougar Town -- is it time for Nick Zano to be released into the wild? Or, at least, into television's Los Angeles?

Entertainment Weekly reports that after axing Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield from the new Melrose Place, the CW is looking to add to the show's roster. And, it seems, Cougar Town jailbait Nick Zano is tops on their list.

Nick would "replace" Colin's character by being attractive, but in a less brooding and dark way. His role (should he choose to accept it) would be as a doctor who both lives in the infamous apartment complex and works with Lauren and Dr. Michael Mancini at Wilshire Memorial.

For such a big city, these people sure have small social circles ...

Melrose producer Todd Slavkin told EW last week that the new character is "irreverent and funny ... he ends up lightening up Lauren."

Meanwhile, back in Cougar Town, a mini Friends reunion is on! Entertainment Weekly ALSO reports that Lisa Kudrow is going to guest-star on the comedy, as Jules's mean dermatologist.

Phoebe, mean? This we're going to have to see.
