Comings and Goings: Viki Recuperates, and Jack's Back

NEW: Multi-Emmy-winner Erika Slezak underwent back surgery at the end of January, which means Viki will take a short break from Llanview in the coming weeks (look for Viki to go to London). Emphasis on short break.
Former All My Children actress Taylor Gildersleeve (she played Sydney, Colby's frenemy) shows up in Llanview on March 15th as one of Kim's stripper friends.
Huge, wonderful, delightful news: Emmy-winner Gina Tognoni will return to the role that made her famous when she steps back into Llanview as Kelly Cramer. LaBoulaie may well rise up off its moorings with Dorian, Blair, and Kelly under one roof. Kelly's first day back in Llanview is February 12th. [STORY]
The recent, brief re-appearance of Dan Gauthier as Kevin Buchanan won't be the last we see of him. Look for Kevin to emerge back on the scene around when his on-screen wife, Kelly, does. [STORY]
Looks like Bo's old friend Snoop Dogg will be returning to Llanview in 2010. The hip-hop superstar, last seen on OLTL in May of 2008, is set to make his return to Ultraviolet on February 24th. [STORY]
Get ready for more Cramers than you can possibly handle: Laura Bonarrigo and Melissa Fumero are set to return as Cassie Carpenter and Adriana Cramer, respectively. Look for Dorian's daughters to return coinciding with their cousin Kelly. Adriana first appears on February 12th and Cassie follows on February 15th.[STORY]

OLTL IS THE VERY BEST SOAP THAT THEY PUT ON. I really hope they don't take it off. Viki make's the show, really hope she feel's better and get's back soon. Cole & Star belong together, they are good for each other. Jess & Brady are good for each other, please keep them together. Make her normal again. I'am tired her being NUT'S........ Nat & John please NOT AGAIN. Kelly & Todd NO Way. Blair is great, her and Eli are great, hot and steamy. It's time she fall's for someone else, Todd doesn't treat her very good. He think's he's hot. Rex and Gigi YES.

Skyler and Stacey ok, do not personally like either of them. Rex and Gigi go together please. Clint has reallly taken a bad turn and hope he get a good turn back soon. Would really like to see the not so pretty girl get the guy, wish it went on what is on the inside. Love Brody and Jes, John and Nat, Miss Jarad and Marcy and Michel. Cole needs a different girl as he just does not fit with Star. Love Tod and Tea. Blair is a tramp and a very bad example for a Mom, do like her but not with Tod.
I like watching One Life mainly because of KISH. I'm glad there is a gay storyline on the soap.
I was a OLTL fan before Erica Slezak started playing Vicki, Before there was a character named Dorian. But it does no good for anyone to write that terrible storylines are good and that characters that have been around for 20 years don't need new blood on the show in order for the show to thrive. OLTL has a good cast of characters, but removing characters like Stacey because they are not popular is not good decision making. If the fans had decided on the Dorian charcter when she came in, she would not be there now. Writers know how to take a disliked character and turn them around (example, Rex). Writing about whats wrong helps the writers do their jobs better. If you just say everythings good, then the network higher ups wonder why don't the ratings reflect this. OLTL can be great, not just sorta good. They have been before. But OLTL is driven by plot, not just characters we like.
PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE tell me that One Life to Live is not being canceled. I read a blurb that mentioned it. I don't rembered what it was on, but that's one show that's hot, no matter what, these PTB, that take our shows away from us, do not know how it hurts. Maybe if they took a cut in pay, these shows could stay on the air. If any of you have heard about this, please comment on it, it just can't happen.
I agree.....I realllly hope they don't kill Brody. He is so adorable! I have mixed feelings about Stacey though, she is a troublemaker, but it makes for good storylines!
for the comments re: Days. I just had to state that I used to love Days. However, when Gary Tomlin became the producer I ended up quitting Days and not looking back. He removed the sense of family and friendship that previously was the heart and soul of Days. He did more than rob people of the veteran characters he worked to trash them and belittle them and replaced the cast with much of his previous show Passions. I had never liked Passions so why would I stay with Days now run by a Passions producer who removed Days characters and cast a bunch of Passions actors playing similar roles as they did on Passions.
So for me Days is a fond memory but the program was truly canceled with the arrival of a producer with no fondness at all to the wealth of history of Days.
