NEW: Big-time fan favorite Eden Riegel (Bianca on All My Children) has signed on to Y&R to play Heather Stevens. The marks a re-cast for the role that's been played, until now, by Vail Bloom. Eden begins taping the week of March 15th – but first airdate remains TBD. [STORY]
NEW: In another recast, former Guiding Light star Marcy Rylan will step in as the new Abby Carlton. Abby (heretofore played by Haley Erin) will be aged to her early 20s. Marcy begins taping on April 5th. [STORY]
Look for Camryn Grimes to reprise the role of Cassie Newman -- perhaps in another ghostly apparition to Sharon and Nick -- on March 15th.

I can't stand Eden's acting, and I am sorry she is coming to Y&R. I like the actress who played Heather, and they should have gotten someone similar to ease the pain. Eden is not the answer and needs to go back where she came from. Very disappointed about the recast!
Also, very sad they have Kristina lying about who beat her. This is not a good idea to show young girls and then go immediately to a spotlight on how to handle abuse. Sending mix messages that could be dangerous if seen the wrong way by women who don't understand it is wrong to lie about something like this. Not acceptable.

I think that eden riegel should return to amc!
I do not know this actress, but I am not happy about the changing! I think that the writers have not given Ms Bloom any chance of good roles with the way they write & portray her!!! I guess with some new person they will all of a sudden make this character into someone to be dealt with! Why could they not do this with what they have? Now, the changing of Abby is a NEEDED thing!! The one that is now Abby can not act worth a darn!! She seems as if she is REALLY a snobby little brat in real life!! I do NOT like the idea of them making the character older, though!!! I do wish Vail Bloom all the best in what ever she does!!!
I think this is a good move for ER. Pratt pretty much eviscerated the character of Binx the last go around. A fresh role on a different Soap will give ER's fans an opportunity to see her anew. Good grab by Y&R.
Eden is my favorite actress, and I'm glad she got away from the death trap that was ABC daytime. Her last return, as she said, was absolutely horrible, and even her incredible acting could not save the story line. Now all we have to do is get Tamara Braun to come over to Y&R, and have her as a buffer against having to see a BAM reunion.
i am glad she got a nother job some place else. i was getting sick of her at amc. anyway maybe she is a women to women person and doesn't know it yet to show to the public.
