Cameron Mathison and Rebecca Budig Guest Star on Castle
Cameron Mathison and Rebecca Budig are guest starring on Castle! The stars of All My Children, along with Corbin Bernsen (The Young and the Restless, Psyche) and Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman), will be joining the cast of Castle for a soap opera-themed storyline to air in March on ABC.
The episode, entitled “One Life to Lose,” will involve a murder on the set of one of New York’s longest running soap operas, Temptation Lane. Mathison will play Vince Bowers, the devastated husband of the victim and a director on Temptation Lane, and Budig will play Mandy Bronson, the young and gorgeous diva lead actress on the soap. The two will be involved in all the behind the scenes drama that Castle must sort through to get to the bottom of the crime.
It will be an episode full of scandal, so be sure not to miss it! You can catch Castle Monday nights on ABC (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

What nobody at One Life to Live was available? I know that logic is not a strong suit for many of the execs at ABC Daytime, but this is a no-brainer. If you have a former soap actor, who has expressed genuine respect for the genre and his co-stars, then why not honor that by using the show that gave him his start? I'm sure that One Life to Live has at least one interesting couple that could work on a "Castle" episode. Well, I guess being a Frons' favorite has its advantages.
Wouldn't it have been better to have actors from One Live To Live since that is the soap that Natan was on? I watch AMC and Rylee is one of my least favorites. In fact they are really FF material for me. I do not watch Castle but I might have if they had other actors that I like but since I now know it's Rebecca and Cameron I'll take a pass.
I've already had to endure CM and RB infecting one of my daytime shows, why must they ruin one of my primetime shows too? I love Castle and think the theme is cool considering Nathan Fillion's daytime roots but more Mathison and Budig is not what I want to see.
Ummm...see too much of Rylee on AMC as it it...why in the world would I be interested in seeing more of these actors in prime time? For me, this just makes this epi of Castle a "Must MISS" episode.
I'm so disappointed. I love Castle and I was very excited to hear the premise for this episode--until I heard that Rebecca Budig and Cameron Mathison would be the soap stars chosen to appear. I can't stand the way they keep getting shoved down our throats--Dancing with the Stars, Skating with the Stars, and you simply can't get away from them and their self-righteousness on AMC. When will the brass at ABC realize that these two are not at all popular as a couple and are only so-so actors?
The only consolation I can take from this is that maybe this will launch their prime time careers and All My Children will finally be rid of the two albatrosses hung around its neck for once and for all.
I love Castle. It's my favorite primetime show but seeing Cameron and Budig on the show is not on my wish list. I am also a long time AMC fan so I am familiar with the two actors. Frankly they bore me spitless so I'm not so sure I'll be watching that Castle episode.
