Excited to see Brenda return. The tie in with Franco is going to be a great story line. Here are a few thoughts we had - Is Franco interested in Brenda becasue she is/was married to Jason or is it because he (Franco) was with Brenda and she told him all about Jason. Could Jason & Franco be brothers? Franco always tells Jason they are connected in ways that he doesn't know yet!! In other story lines hope Carly creams Dante and Lulu soon they both are getting to be too much to watch. We mute them whenever we can. And when will Kristina grow a back bone. Her Mother & Father are strong characters - didn't they ever teach her any street smarts? Get Spinelli a real girlfriend, so he has some place to go when Sam chases him out when she wants to be with Jason. What happen to her apartment??

Like many others, I am happy that ABC is bringing Brenda back to GH. I'd classify myself as being "cautiously optimistic". Brenda is probably my all-time favorite female soap character. I am, however, disappointed at the Sonny-centric focus of Brenda's much heralded return. I have resigned myself to the idea that TPTB at GH seem determined to reunite S&B; however, when celebrating Vanessa's return, I think it is incredibly shortsighted to focus solely on Sonny and Brenda's relationship.

One thing I have always loved about Brenda is the growth her character displayed during her tenure on the show. Brenda was far from perfect, but she learned and grew as a result of her experiences. Some of my favorite Brenda moments had nothing to do with Sonny or her relationship with him. IMO, Brenda had outgrown her love affair with Sonny. She fell in love with Jax and with him experienced a healthy relationship based on trust and mutual respect. Let us not forget that during her last, much-heralded return, it was Jax she chose to be with. It was Jax she loved. Jax's love changed her. Regardless of who Brenda falls in love with while she's in Port Charles this time, I hope that GH will honor the growth her character experienced and give her yet another love story worth rooting for. My problem with Sonny is - he doesn't seem to change or grow as a result of his mistakes or relationships. Perhaps Brenda will change him. If she ends up with him (as seems to be the case), I hope he can step up to the plate and give her the love and respect she deserves. I hope the writers will respect the character they are spending the better part of our summer promoting. I hope they will write her a love story for the ages - and if it is with Sonny, I hope they will write him in a way that shows that he realizes what an amazing woman she is, and that she deserves better than what they used to have. I do not need to see S&B part 45632 if it is not going to honor who Brenda became as a person - a strong, independent, and passionate woman who realized she didn't have to feel desperate in order to be loved. No matter what happened while she was off-screen, her on-screen growth deserves to be honored. If it is not, I will be tuning her return out - and that would be a huge shame.

SOAPnet, I'm happy to see the return of Brenda, but I'd like to say I'm disappointed that you have chosen to focus your own marathon on just pivotal Brenda and Sonny episodes. "The Best of Brenda and Sonny?" Why? That strikes me as incredibly inconsiderate to many fans who preferred Brenda in other relationships. Honestly, I enjoyed Brenda with Sonny at one point, but I was enraptured by Brenda with Jax. Apparently, there are people who enjoyed Brenda with Jason. What about Jagger?

What episodes would I like to have seen? While this is apparently an exercise in futility, here goes.

1. Jax and Brenda on the yacht after their 1st wedding. "Fish, stars, moon, I give you Mr. and Mrs. Jacks."
2. Rather than the J/B wedding moment that was interrupted by Miranda, I'd have liked to see her "crazy, head-over-heels in love with you" speech to Jax.
3. Brenda, Jax and the Magic Lamp. "I wish for something that I'll have forever, but never hold. It is as bright as the sun, as pale as the moon, and vanishes quickly but is never gone."
4. Dancing in New Orleans.
5. Making love to the song, "Like You."
6. Count me in as one who would have enjoyed seeing the Brenda/Jax theater night in New York.
7. The Malibu Kiss.
8. "Nobody leaves. Whatever happens, nobody leaves."
9. Kayak around Kauai.

Brenda has come and gone so many times it's pathetic! They never made a big deal of it before, why now? And to cost OLTL fans an episode for a day is rediculous!! Before all you GH fans start b**ching me out, I too am a GH fan,but also a OLTL fan and I don't think it's right! It's just my opinion.

I love that Brenda's coming back and many of my favorite Brenda moments are with Jax. I'd like to see some new fiesty storylines, bringing back some of our loved characters as well. I'd like to see something with Jason and Brenda, but I can only stand Sam when she's with Jason. I don't want her to turn into a whiny witch again. Maybe Brenda will uncover Patrick and Lisa's affair and rush to protect Robin. I'd like to see her take Lisa out and maybe she'll be the one to take Franco out.

I agree with guesssgirl, those my favorite too. I have lots of favorite scenes with Brenda & Jax. the one were they were in New York had the theather to they self? No to be? I love the thing with the shave cream? I'm dispapppoint that SoapNet is show Nothing but Sonny & Brenda scenes, Duh Jax was in Brenda life too? that so BS that just showing SnB and NOT JnB?

Classic Brenda and Sonny were unlike any other couple in daytime history. I don't know who wrote during that time, but they were amazing! You were able to identify with Brenda's insecurities, and relate to Sonny's jealousy....they dealt with REAL issues and the love seemed so genuine. I think it secretly made every woman who watched long for their own Sonny Corinthos. I hope they do justice to Brenda's return. I have watched since Luke & Laura's wedding, and there have been ups and downs in the quality of the show. I've been a bit bored lately, but am excited that Franco is spicing things up. The writers need to give the viewers more credit and go back to writing with the respect for the deep history of each character. Currently they are ruining my favorite characters like Sonny and Carly. TURN IT AROUND! WATCH CLASSIC SONNY AND BRENDA AND REMEMBER WHAT IT USED TO BE LIKE AND GO BACK TO IT!! IT WORKED!!! I've watched a bunch of clips on YouTube (just search Sonny and Brenda) and you will see what I mean. I fell in love with them all over again! So glad people who didn't watch then, can enjoy it! A few of my favorite clips....
1. THE PLANE RIDE TO WASHINGTON! (the one and only episode I ever saw with captions relating what Sonny and Brenda were thinking, which was exactly opposite of what they were saying) IT WAS HILARIOUS!! You never see that kind of quality writing anymore. The viewers were grateful!!
2. AFTER THE NURSES BALL- (the one when Sonny takes Brenda into a hot passionate kiss and makes every woman watching yearn for a little Sonny herself! ha!.....that is until he sees the wedding ring on her finger from Jax!)
3. ADJUSTING TO LIVING TOGETHER- (the one where Brenda wakes Sonny up by doing sit-ups in bed first thing in the morning and makes him a burnt breakfast in bed) ANOTHER GREAT EPISODE WITH FANTASTIC WRITING AND ACTING!
Just watch them ALL! And RE-LIVE the magic of Sonny and Brenda. I can't wait for her return! Crossing my fingers that they re-hire the original writer/creator of Sonny and Brenda too!!
