She was off at college last season, so -- except for a brief visit to introduce way-too-old-for-her boyfriend Lloyd (Steven Weber) to mortified mom Susan (Teri Hatcher) -- Julie Mayer was largely absent from the proceedings on "Desperate Housewives"'s Wisteria Lane. Come this season's premiere, however, she'll be back. And for the sake of Susan's sanity, we hope it's sans that older BF.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, when "Housewives" returns September 27th, Andrea Bowen will be back as a series regular. Susan's ex (and Julie's father) Karl, played by Richard Burgi, will also return for several episodes. ABC and the show's producers are mum about where their respective storylines will take them, but this is Wisteria Lane after all. Expect the unexpected.

Last seen on "Housewives" last November, Andrea's been keeping busy recording her first solo album, featuring several self-penned songs.
