Gilmore Girls doesn't just live on via weekend SOAPnet showings (BTW -- Saturdays at 9PM/8c and 10PM/9c, Sundays at 6PM/5c and 7PM/6c, if you hadn't heard). Lauren Graham is coming back to TV in a new series, and now her Stars Hollow BFF Sookie (actress Melissa McCarthy) has booked a small screen gig. Entertainment Weekly reports that comedienne McCarthy will join Private Practice for a stint as a pregnant woman working with midwife Dell.

And if THAT's not enough, Gilmore creator Amy Sherman-Palladino tells the mag: she's still thinking about a movie. Nothing is in the works yet, but the writer says: "Anything can happen. I'm in touch with [Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel]. If there's a story to tell, then absolutely I think we're all going to want to tell it. That's the bottom line."

OUR bottom line? If there's story to watch, we're all going to want to watch it. So bring it on!
