New reality series Bank of Mom and Dad is coming, and you may never look at your finances the same way!
Each week, one twenty-something woman who is drowning in debt must pay the ultimate price: having her parents move in. With the assistance of financial expert Farnoosh Torabi, Mom and Dad teach their daughter to rethink her spending habits and transform her relationship with money.
Bank of Mom and Dad premieres Wednesday, September 30th, at 10PM/9c on SOAPnet!

I am looking forward to watching Bank of Mom & Dad! Luckily I think my kids are doing ok...but you can always learn something new! I have several friends that can use the help! I have sent them the link to watch the show for some ideas on dealing with their own kids. Where was this when our kids were little, money lessons need to start early, I just got as a gift this great package called Money Mama the Smarter Piggy Bank for my kids which hopefully will ward off any bad money habits later in life. It has this great CD in the back that appeals to my older children too...it has made me aware of my own spending..you should check it out as a highlight for your viewers...best of luck to you on this show, Bravo to you for making this an important concept for all, young and old to take a better look at our spending habits.
I think the Show will be interesting. Just last week Dr. Phil had a show on parents that over give to the point of,"NO RETURN"!!!. The parents needed help on how to say,NO MORE MONEY to there kid's!
It's almost like the giving tree......but this isn't a book and money doesn't grow on tree's.

All I can tell you is that my cousin is going to be on this farce of a reality show and it is so heavily produced, it is so far from reality. Not to mention her own parents are a financial mess (they file for bankruptcy) and are no role models for financial advice whatsoever. Gimme a break.
I guess like all the other SoapNet originals; I'll give it a chance.....but I suspect just like all the other SoapNet origianls (Other than NightShift) I'll be left thinking "Why is this taking the place of my nightly Soaps?"
I started watching SoapNet for the whole "Today's Soaps Tonight" idea. The thought of something like this taking a prime 10:00pm time slop makes me pretty angry to be honest.
I've seen numerous complaints on this site about all the crap on SoapNet that has nothing to do with Soaps. Seems SoapNet isn't listening. Guess their most loyal viewers opinions really don't matter.
Sounds cute! But it begs the obvious question... like, why didn't Mom and Dad show her this money stuff long BEFORE she left home? (Maybe she was like me and just didn't pay attention... ?)
I think it'll be a fun show. Hey, maybe I'll learn something this time.
