As previously announced, the good folks at Days of our Lives are planning to memorialize beloved matriarch Alice Horton (Frances Reid) in a big way. And now comes word from Soap Opera Digest of just WHO we can expect to show up for the celebration.
Among those who are reportedly returning to Salem are Jaime Lyn Bauer (Laura Horton), Roark Critchlow (Mike Horton), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Johnson), Patsy Pease (Kimberly Brady), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton Deveraux), and Lisa Trusel (Melissa Anderson).
Additionally, as first reported by TVGuideMagazine.com, Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan) will also be back.
An insider told Soap Opera Digest that most of the actors "aren't coming back for just one day. Some will appear in a few episodes." Huzzah!
Frances Reid passed away on February 3rd at age 95, leaving behind a 42-year Days legacy.

I Really wish John and Marlaina would have showed up. I miss them!
Stephen Nichols is now on Y&R, and probably that is why is his not coming back.
I'm thrilled to see Mary Beth Evans return. Why isn't Stephen Nichols coming back with her. They should be back with a front burner story, instead of some of the ridiculous people now in front burner stories. I also love Sami with EJ and hope you can find a way to get them back together.

I will be happy to see everyone but especially Kayla Johnson & Jennifer Horton Devereaux. I too wish John & Marlena were coming back. I miss all these guys...the show is just not the same without them. In fact, I only watch a couple times a week because I really don't like all these teenagers taking over the show.

I agree with you on that. They should get rid of all the names you mentioned above. Nicole doesn't deserve to be with anyone, and Stephanis is such a snob.
Yes Bo belongs with Hope. What has happened with Hope she seem to have taken on a split personality. Mugging all these people and keeping a stash of wallets in a box under her bed. I think she completely lost it.
I have been watching Days of our lives since it first aired. I would love to see some of the old cast members, such as; Cassie & Rex, Mimi, John & Marlena, Belle & Shaun, Trish, David Banning, Nick, Chelsea & Max, Laura Horton, Jack & Jennifer, Shane and Kimberly, (and the list goes on), come back for Alices memorial. Also I think Kate should be found out for the things she did. She tried to poison Chloe and she killed a guy back in a past Days of our Lives episode and got away with both. And why did they bring back Vivian Alamain. She is an evil wicked woman and she tried to kill Carly,buried her alive and is still trying to destroy her. And I hope soon that EJ is found out for kidnapping Sydney. I wish there was a way to watch the old episodes of Days of our Lives, back when it first aired. If someone knows of anything that would be great. Soapnet brought back some old episodes of Another world, which is another soap opera I watched.
