This week, Maddie Coleman returns in an attempt to explain her part in Adam's disappearance. Will anybody take her for her word?

The week to come in Oakdale has all the twists and turns you've come to expect from As The World Turns -- especially exciting is Maddie Coleman's return to town! She's come back to try and explain her part in what happened to Adam a few years ago ... y'know, that whole "You're trying to rape my friend so I'm gonna hit you with a branch, assume you're dead, and bury you -- only you're really not dead and you ultimately leave town after being threatened, but then come back again pretending to be a soldier" thing. (Got it?)

Anyhoo, Alison wants Maddie to come forward, because it might explain Adam's recent behavior to Tom and Margo. But what of Casey? If Maddie forgives Adam, it might help Casey move on ... if he wants to.

After that brouhaha at the bank, Eb has decided to call Lily and specifically ask for ransom in exchange for Holden's return. Though no one believes Holden's alive, Lily holds out hope -- especially after Luke answers the ransom call. Time for a Jack/Luke road trip to Kentucky, we do declare!

Ooh, but! Damian knows Holden is alive, and is trying to keep that fact from Lily. He's even hidden Holden's handwriting samples so Lily can't get them analyzed. AND they had sex! It's so very complicated. What's Damian to do if Lily's hubster returns from the "dead"? Naturally, Sir Grimaldi works tirelessly to cover his tracks.

All this, PLUS: Emily and Paul, newly-married, consider adding to their family in light of the anniversary of their daughter Jennifer's death.  If the past is any indication, however, their newfound bonds might not be enough to hold 'em together forever.
