Hilary Duff won't be calling Lori Loughlin "mom"; she turned down an offer to join the CW's "Beverly Hills, 90210" spin-off in the role of lead teen Annie Mills. But Lori ("Full House," "Summerland") WILL play Celia Mills, Annie's mom. In the original pilot script, Celia is described as a former Olympic athlete who moves to Beverly Hills with her husband, the high school's new principal.
Lori, 43, is used to dealing with TV teens. On "Summerland," produced by "90210" creator Aaron Spelling, she played aunt and mother figure to her late sister's orphaned kids, including troubled teen surfer Bradin (Jesse McCartney). In real life, Lori's daughters, Olivia and Isabella, are 8 and 9.
Lori's joining new cast members Dustin Milligan ("Runaway") and AnnaLynne McCord ("Nip/Tuck") in the update of the '90s hit, which is expected to debut on the CW in the fall.
Who else would you like to see cast in the "90210" spin-off?
