All My Children Week in Review: Week of November 15, 2010
Funniest Moment: Opal fawning over hubba hubba new doctor Griffin Castillo, dubbed “Dr. Delicious.” “He’s a mouth full of coconut cake with butter cream icing.” We love Opal.
WTH? Moment: Why in Phoebe Wallingford’s name is Kendall inviting Annie (and JR) to Thanksgiving? We’re not buying the whole “we need to foster a spirit of togetherness for the children” argument, either. First of all, Annie stabbed Kendall’s mother, Erica. Which isn’t likely to make the Empress Kane feel safe when the turkey gets carved. Second, Caleb and JR sharing a Thanksgiving meal? Is she crazy? Even Annie thought that was a little much. And Annie’s kind of insane!
Best Moment: We must admit, we loved Kendall and Bianca’s sisterly bonding time on Monday’s episode. It’s been a while since we saw the Kane sisters catch up and way too long of a time since Kendall told Bianca to wise up and call Reese (we agree!).
A potential tie was the moment where Kendall grabbed her heart, which happened concurrent to Zach’s plane exploding. A piece of her heart did die in that moment, and it was nice to see that played.

It is incredible to think that this show, reeling from losing close to 1 million viewers in a year, didn't find a way to keep TK. Zach and Kendall are not only the best couple on AMC but one of the best in all of daytime. Pine Valley has been decimated by the show's move to LA. Nothing they gained by the move could possibly be more important than what they lost by moving.
As a long time fan I can only say that AMC holds nothing for me without Zach and Kendall. The thought of a shirtless nobody touching Kendall or Zach's kids makes me ill and I will not watch it.
So thank you Thorsten Kaye for 6 exquisite years as Zach Slater. I can only hope that one day you'll return to complete Team Slater once again.
I only watched on Friday to see my Jerica together again. They are the only reason I tune in. I didn't watch jack with that tramp Miranda napper and I won't watch Erica with that bore Cooney. KWALEB has the chemistry. They have no bad history. They can work as a couple. AMC needs to keep Jerica together to be the core couple of the show, and bring back Reggie, Lily, etc. and let the K/M family be together again. I think this new guy Griffin has potential. Rylee must die.
I already miss Zach Slater/Thorsten Kaye. Best of luck to him. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the extra hour in my day. Not interested in watching AMC without him.
I am shocked and dismayed that you are killing off Zach from the show. The show will not be the same and I will probably not set my DVR to record as I do now. Zach and Kendall were the backbone of the show and now with him gone there is no storyline to watch. Don't kill Zach off of the show, let him reappear like Greenlee or else you may lose a great deal of loyal viewers.

I was wondering why they were playing flashbacks with Kendall and Zach last week. I don't have cable or Dish so I'm a day behind and when I read "A tragedy hits Pine Valley" from 11/19, I was hoping ABC wasn't doing what I thought. I think it's kind of mean to the viewers who were hoping for some good stuff from Kendall and Zach. My feelings were that they are giving too much to the "Ryan and Greenlee" show to realize that Kendal and Zach have become the backbone to All My Children like the Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Joe Martin.
Thorsten Kaye, Zach Slater and Zendall have given me so much! I am an extremely proud loyal fan of two wonderful actors! Their super couple status was, once again, cemented into soap history with today's poetic summation of the Slaters' romance!
Please fix this massive miscalculation and continue talks with Mr. Kaye for a full-time retun in the near future. I realize that there are life circumstances right now, but don't give up. The show will be rewarded with more viewers and higher ratings. This mesmerizing fan favorite cannot be replaced in the fans' or Kendall's heart!
Not performer of just this week but of every week. No one tops TK in the acting department nor Zach as one of the great characters of all time. How can one possibly compare a newbie whose talent is taking his shirt off to the guy that delivered that incredibly moving farewell speech to Kendall today. Nobody will buy Kendall moving on from Zach to that other guy. Today Zendall showed once again the eternal quality of their relationship that is so unique. You need to get Thorsten back and restore Zendall to the kind of great love story they so deserve and that their fans deserve.
OH COME ON YOU CANT TAKE ZACH FROM KENDALL THEY ARE THE ULTIMATE COUPLE OF THE SHOW.... BRING HIM BACK!!!! HAVE HIM SHOW UP THANKSGIVING TO GIVE THEM SOMETHING TRULY TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!! BRING HIM BACK!!! THEY ARE THE ONE COUPLE I WANT TO SEE TOGETHER ON THERE. TERRIBLE CHOICE TAKING HIM OFF THE SHOW. I FOR ONE WILL QUIT WATCHING IF YOU DO NOT BRING HIM BACK. THE STORYLINE IS GETTING BORING WITH JR AND HIS CRAP. ZACH AND KENDALL ALWAYS MADE THE SHOW WONDERFUL WITH ALL OF THE THINGS THAT THEY WENT THROUGH. ZACH IS THE ONE HOLDING THE PINE VALLEY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TOGETHER. I WAS GLAD TO SEE THEM COME BACK ON THE SHOW AND NOW AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED THAT YOU ARE TAKING ZACH AWAY FROM THE SHOW. YOU NEED TO GIVE THORSTEN KAYE MORE MONEY AND BRING HIM HOME. YOU ALWAYS GIVE AWAY THE GOOD ACTORS AND ACTRESSES TO THE OTHER CHANNELS. BRING HIM BACK!!!!! I AM SURE I SPEAK FOR A GREAT NUMBER OF AMC FANS.
