All My Children Week in Review: Week of December 6, 2010

Funniest Moment: Erica – still wearing that sparkly cape that could stop wars with its beauty – ripping into Liza on Monday’s episode. “You don’t even have a cat to feed when you go home at night.” Not a belly buster, but inspired a giggle and also….um, it’s just awesome?

WTH? Moment: We totally understand Amanda freaking out about Cara, Jake’s ex-wife – especially now that she’s back in town. But if she wanted information on her, how about google stalking her? It’s almost standard dating protocol when you want to find out about someone else – so why doesn’t that apply to exes that are in town?

Best Moment: Two way tie. First, Erica and Liza’s face off. Obviously (“you will not bully Erica Kane!”). Erica needs a lady rival to exchange catty barbs with more, so this satiated us for an entire month.

Second, Zach’s memorial. Yes, it’s totally creepy and morbid to pick it as a best moment. And really, it was more than one moment. But everyone recounting memories of Zach- particularly Opal recalling his very special relationship with Myrtle – was outstanding. And totally made us cry!

Jake is too ugly to warrant a woman's attention. AMC sure knows how to cast stinkers. JEP's Jake was a hunky one. This one is a nasally dud.

lovemylhasa,
You are certainly thinking on the same path as I am. If you'll read my post where I wrote about Zach and Kendall and how AMC should not take Zach off, you'll see how you and I both want the same. I truly believe that it will be a mistake to take Zach out of AMC for whatever the reason may be. In addition, you and I are not the only viewers who feel this way.

LickitySplit321,
I so agree with you about Cara. It seems she will be nothing but bad news for Jake and Amanda. I hope their love will sustain Cara's bad karma. Jake and Amanda makes a cute couple, just as Kendall and Zach did. I don't see why AMC want to take Zach out of he picture and away from Kendall! I hope they bring him back, or AMC will be less exciting to watch.

I think Cara is going to be trouble. I only hope her stay in Pine Valley does not compromise Jake and Amanda's marriage. I hope Jake loves Amanda enough to let Cara know that he is truly in love with Amanda and does not want her anymore after all the hurt she has inflicted upon him in the past. Also, in a big, big way, I hope Zach comes back into the picture for Kendall and their little boys. Kendall really played the part of the grieving widow. I think she's been through enough already without having to lose Zach completely! Hopefully, he's faked his death and is hiding out to protect his family from his casino enemies. Everyone that I talk to wants Zach back. He and Kendall make such a handsome and romantic couple! Zach brings a new "zest" and "charisma" to AMC. It would be a pitty for him to drop off. It seems that all of the good actors drop off of AMC. Pretty soon, it's going to get boring.

Whaz up with this Kara woman? Didn't like her from the first second she was on. Leave Mandy and Jake alone and go play doctor someplace else.

I was so happy to see Randi last week and I loved seeing her with Frankie. Come on writers, give Frankie & Randi their own storyline. It's rather sad that they've been reduced to propping Madison, a woman who blackmailed and tormented their family and who they shouldn't care a hill of beans about. Cornelius Smith Jr., Denise Vasi and their fans deserve better.

Even with Zach Slater dead, Zendall are still a powerhouse. Alicia Minshew did an awesome job of portraying a grieving widow missing her soulmate. I love and miss Thorsten Kaye/Zach Slater and wish TPTB would have worked something out with him to keep him on AMC. This decision to have Zach off the show was not Thorsten's idea, it was TPTB decision. They could have worked something out for him. TPTB have done that with other actors in the Soap world, why not Thorsten Kaye. Now look at what's happening with AMC. They are in last place in the ratings, plus we don't have any male characters or actors on the show whose presence was as powerful as Thorsten Kaye/Zach Slater. Brian Frons thinks his pets Cameron/Rebecca can carry this show, but look how that is working out for them and the ratings are reflecting that big time. PLEASE BRING BACK THORSTEN KAYE/ZACH SLATER !!! I'm missing him just like Kendall, Ian and Spike. Go Team Slater!!!

Sat, Dec 11 - 8:52 am

The highlight was Alicia Minshew's outstanding performance (and those very cute boys that play Spike & Ian). She made you feel the pain of losing her one true love/soulmate/the only man for her. I hope Kendall is given the opportunity to grieve and no new romance for her. Kendall is a strong savvy smart woman -- there is lots of story for her as she runs the business, deals with Zach's "death" and a mother to their sons. Maybe she should try to take back Cambius from Ryan (who stole it in the first place from Zach) so Ian has his father legacy business. Also, maybe Kendall should investigate why Zach's plane exploded -- then finding out who did it and eventually find Zach. BRING BACK THORSTEN KAYE (I don't believe that ABC can't work out a deal with Thorsten)! I grieve with Kendall/AM over this huge loss to AMC. Always only Zendall for this fan!

Other than watching Kendall, the boys, and Erica's interaction with her, there is nothing else that really held my interest. I guess I will only be turning in to watch Kendall and how she deals with Zach's death -- but as soon as you throw in a new romance this viewer is pretty much gone.
