All My Children Week in Review: Week of 2/14/11

Funniest Moment: We giggled in Monday's episode where Tad took the phone from Jesse (who was speaking with Angie) and imitated him. He sort of sounded like Darnell Williams, don't you think?

WTH? Moment: Ryan not figuring out that Madison's baby was his. Dude, do the math! Do you guys think he's just in denial?

Runner-up: Bianca announcing Reese wants to divorce her. Who would want to divorce Bianca? She's like the perfect person! Plus Erica's your mother-in-law. Which, actually, may not be an added bonus for most.

Performer of the Week: We're gonna give this to Christina Bennett Lind as Bianca. Poor Bianca really was put through the wringer this week – hopeful about Reese's impending arrival to Pine Valley, then let down when she didn't show up and dropped the divorce bomb. This really gave Christina a chance to shine and brought Bianca to the forefront in a way she hasn't been in weeks (where she's mostly been listening, doling out advice or drinking coffee). Here's hoping Bianca is in the spotlight more – but with some happiness.

Best Moment: Annie and Marissa fighting with each other. We'd watch Annie at an insurance convention, so seeing her go toe-to-toe with the surprisingly tough Marissa was awesome.

Why We Love All My Children This Week: Tad. Only Tad would come up with the idea of fake someone's funeral to protect them from African warlords. And do it with a sly smile. We heart Tad.

I am thrilled that Kendall is getting messages and feelings from Zach. They've always had a special connection and could sense each other, even hundreds of miles away from each other. I love that their connection continues beyond this life...although I don't believe for a minute that Zach is dead. I am looking forward to Kendall investigating his death and hopefully very soon finding out that he is alive. It's what she would do. She's a strong woman, but she also needs her husband back. She deserves to have that happy ending and the joy of finding her soulmate alive.

I read that AMC was going to respect the Breese relationship in the ending of the marriage. I'm a bit puzzled as to how a couple of phone calls and a divorce are respecting it, but it was time to do something with Bianca. And you've got it wrong--it hasn't been weeks of listening, doling out advice, and drinking coffee, it's been months. On the other hand, if the only advice she can dole out is how wonderful Kendall's heart doctor is, I'd rather she just keep drinking coffee.

Avida39_2006, ITA..

Karma is exactly what Bianca is getting and I hope she gets it in spades......I also hope that the misbegotten mistake ends up in Paris with the not so confused fake lesbian, never to be seen again....

Not buying Bianca's pain.....becausee she so deserves it..

The WTH moment was not only the fact that Ryan is a moran who can't add or figure out that he is the father of Maddie's baby, but also Ryan pretending to be a loving father to Spike, trying to explain about Emma being kidnapped by her mother, in front of Spike's kidnapper.....

Come on now..... GL kidnapped Spike, almost killed Spike & Ian, and is the reason Spike is deaf, but that's okay.....GMAB.. I know that was whitewashed, rewritten, covered up, but we fans don't forget...... GL's crimes are on the same level & some exceed Annie's.... Yet, they aren't mentioned???

I want Kendall to investigate Zach's death.... I want her to be the strong, independent, fiesty kick butt character we know she is, and to ditch those two useless little boys....... Allow her to find the killer and Zach at the same time....ratings will skyrocket...

Wow, it was so important for Binks to have a baby immediately after marriage that she was willing to jeopardize her sister's marriage over it, and turns out the marriage was so flimsy that it's over already. What a joke! I'm glad to see you didn't include many of the show's biggest drawbacks in your review--Rylee, Griffin, Ricky as killer, etc. I like Tad with Cara, Scott and Madison. I want to see Kendall investigating Zach's death. It would be fun to team her up with Tad and Jesse (two people who actually have investigative experience) in solving Zach's murder. Those 3 would be cute together platonically--not everything has to be about romance. And of course at the end of it, they find Zach alive, Zendall are reunited, and then we get some real old-school Hollywood romance. That's what I'm wishing for.

Gosh this new Marissa is not likeable at all she is not good looking AND her acting is bad too :(
I also don't care about Cara with her giant poping watery eyes!

Karma is a bitch, Bianca! You betrayed your sister by asking her husband to donate sperm behind her back and created the BoB (baby of betrayal) for Reese. Now Reese is leaving you and I hope that she takes that spawn of betrayal with her never to be seen again. Bianca deserves everything she gets and more.
Loved the new promo about Kendall searching for Zach's killer. Hope it turns out to be more then an agenda driven plot. It could be an interesting s/l with an endgame of Kendall finding out that Zach is alive. We desperately need Thorsten Kaye back at AMC before the next sweeps period.

Kendall Slater investigating her husband's "death," leading to the realization that Zach is alive is what I want to see! With the assistance of Jesse or Tad, Mrs. Slater figures out that her soulmate is being held hostage by his casino partners. The first moments of seeing each other after so long is definitely must see television, with bonus Team Slater scenes! Thorsten Kaye's absence left a huge void and must be rectified soon!

Seeing Thorsten Kaye's Zach Slater and wife Kendall getting romantic at the beginning of this week's promo was a treat. I look forward to Kendall's revenge, leading to the discovery that her soulmate is still alive! I miss the onscreen chemistry and connection that Mr. Kaye and Alicia Minshew shared.

Rylee got married this week, and it didn't make the week in review. Rev. Ricky is a killer, and it didn't make the week in review. I adore Tad and I'm glad Bianca is moving on from the coolest person in the world (yeah, right) Reese, but it does make me laugh what is included in the review and what isn't. Let's see more of Tad and Cara, Jesse (and Angie soon, I hope), Bianca and her divorce woes, and alot more of Kendall investigating Zach's "death", and less hospital drama. That's what I want to see.
