"All My Children": Week in Review for August 3, 2009
This was really an action-packed week in Pine Valley, what with Kendall getting busted out of a bathroom, then going on the run to the boat club, and finally ending up getting sentenced to life. Oh, and all that jazz with Marian going nuts and shooting Marissa. The week zipped by and we were into most of the action -- but we're still shaking our head at Kendall. Read on.
WTH? Moment: So we're going to repeat ourselves from last week, but we sort of have to because this week just got more intense. Kendall, WTH? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Confessing to a murder that she THINKS she did, but can't remember actually doing? This is not the Kane way, girl. We're just so used to Kendall fighting till her fingers are bloody -- ESPECIALLY if it means being separated from her children. Why is she doing this? Can anyone give us some insight?
We did get a gorgeous "Kendall on the run in a hot purple dress" scene though, which is always appreciated.
First runner-up: Who was Rachael taking to in the scene when Zach fired her? She was looking at the TV, telling it "I'll keep you updated" or something -- but there was no phone in sight. Was she talking to Judge Judy?
Funniest Moment: PV wasn't a barrel of laughs this week, with all the shooting and the confessions to murder and Amanda missing her baby. The only scenes that made us giggle were when poor, put-upon Lucretia (more on her later) was forced to give Annie wedding advice.
Second choice: JR calling Annie a "self-absorbed, money-ducking, mentally unstable waste like yourself."

What is going on??? Have the writers gone mad??? Get rid of Annie and her 'not so truthful' little girl, the show is going down..down...down. I used to watch AMC everyday way back went it began, I've been away several years and just got back into it in May/09. Did all the original writers quit?

Adam and Annie Pew!, Disgusting. Tad needs to go with Dixie, hes never with his own kids, poor story line. Jake is light in his loafers, when he kisses amanda its like shes a foreign object. The Steward story will drag on all summer,maybe even all winter. Whats with the poor writing? When the Tornado hit was the last time it was worth watching, were longtime fans but it's getting to the point that were muting or changing the channel. And the music in the background drowns out whats being said.
I LOVE ALL MY CHILDREN HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THEM.
Am I seeing things.. I could swear ( in flashbacks) Stuart turns around to face Kendal when she is holding the gun on him. Wasn't he shot in the back?
I've been watching All My Children for 37 years. I can't believe they are moving to Los Angeles. I'm getting tired of all the tradegy. When is something good going to happen.
The reason why I'm still watching is because of Zach.

Ok. For those of you who think that the woman who use to help Babe and JR with Little A was Lucrecia. You must be pretty new to this. Lucrecia has always been Adams cook. The person who use to help with Little A was (drum roll please)...............Winifred!!!!!
I can't wait to see how the new Kendall double thing will work out. I can't believe Amanda is going to lose her baby all over again. I wish she would have just confessed to David that thier baby is still alive. Sure David isn't always a good guy, but he loves his children and he deserves to know...at least the baby wouldn't go missing if he knew.
Highlights: Marian *BRAVA* Ms. Jennifer Bassey! You shall be missed, dahling! Seeing sweet/beautiful Kate-thy! Though I wonder how long that will last w/ the LA move. :*( Seeing Lucretia for the first time! JR and his snarky one liners..."Annie Nicole Smith". Natalia's honesty and trying to actually go by the law.
Lowlights: All involved in Kendall's escape. All involved w/ the dead baby scheme. Tad and Taylor aka Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber. I didn't think it was possible, but they've managed to make her even dumber than the rest w/ even the expression to go along w/ it. I could understand a few changes here and there. But to strip her of everything [her other/old character traits] and have her do dumb move, after dumb move like some bad version of The Three Stooges. How sad and truly a WASTE of Beth Ehler's talent.
