This week on All My Children, we can't even tell you what's in store for AMC's final week on ABC. ...Okay, how about a taste? Look for the great families of Pine Valley to get their moment in the sun: the Kanes, the Chandlers, the Hubbards, and the Martins will all celebrate their rich histories and look towards the future. Get ready for some heartwarming -- and a few heart-stopping -- moments along the way. And special guest appearances by some of your most beloved stars. Look for Sarah Michelle Gellar to return to the show that made her famous, plus Eva LaRue (Maria), Julia Barr (Brooke), David Canary (Adam), Justin Bruening (Jamie), and Alexa Havins (Babe) will be back. Don't miss it as All My Children takes its final bow on Network television.
What are you most looking forward to this week?

Well I want to thank ABC and Soapnet for my improved health and well being. Since there will be no more AMC or Ryan's Hope after this week (and no OLTL come the first of the year), I will have more time to spend on my health and fitness. I surely will not be watching The Chew since I already have seen so many annoying promos I am already tired of that show.
My condolences to those who have watched AMC, OLTL and even the Ryan's Hope reruns. I watched all of these shows (Ryans on the original run) and literally have grown up with them. Maybe one day the networks will listen to the fans they are about to lose in droves.
Wow, I cannot believe this is the final week. I started watching AMC in 1973. This was the only daytime soap I would watch because it was historical at times and tear jerking. Zack takes no BS, Tad the cad, Bianca loving, Angie and Jessie eternal love story, Erica drama queen, Brook level headed, Janet from another planet, David sinister plots, and on and on. Every actor played his or her role to perfection. AMC was so entertaining and I will miss all of the characters immensely. I will also miss the fine men, Mateo, Aidan, Ryan, Jeremy, Noah, and Jackson. Thank you AMC it has been a wonderful ride. Sincerely, a devoted fan.
I have watched ALL MY CHILDREN AND ONE LIFE TO LIVE since the first show, i can't believe abc would do this, so why don't either nbc or cbs run our favorite soaps on their channels, they will take all of abc"s datime people and look at all the happy people they would have supporting their channels, to all the actors and actresses of our favorite shows we will all miss you and hope to see you on a soap opera real soon.
It was great watching the marathons but it made me even more sad; I realized just how much AMC has been a part of my life since the beginning. I too have cried and cried. I don't know how I will feel this time next week---there will be a tremendous void in my life. I send my love and best wishes to all the great actors/actresses and hope they know just how much everyone will miss them. Why couldn't ABC see what loyal fans we all are?? I will never understand why it had to come to this; and to be replaced by a cooking show?? Come on now.
This is a sad, sad week. I agree with all the other millions of viewers that ABC has forgotten that we always don't want reality shows. We get enough of that in real life. Our soaps are a way for us to escape for a couple of hours. Like many of you I will no longer be watching ABC either. Hope they can count all the viewers they will be loosing.....Go CHEW on that ABC!
I, too have watched AMC, almost since the beginning.....also trying to schedule college classes around it. However, I do think it's time for it to go....the storylines over the last few years have been so predictable & at times, plain awful. They just keep bringing former characters back & forth....they die, they're back, they leave, they're back, etc...for some of the characters, like Tad, Zack & Jesse, they were a welcomed relief to keep AMC going. But some of the others like Greenlee, David...ugh, added nothing. So I do think it's time to move on. I will miss having it in my life but not miss the poor writing.
As for being mad at ABC network having The Chew in its place, that was done after knowledge of AMC ending. I do not blame the network for having that show in the 1pm time slot. If you think the food network is for ALL food-related shows, you are mistaken. Just as ALL those stupid sport networks don't have ALL the sport shows solely on sport networks. If anything, there are too many sports on too many channels at one time. Very frustrating. If anything, we're mad at ABC for running so many sport games, one after the other, almost throughout the weekends & most weeknights. What are all those sport-related networks for, anyway? But I digress...
I wish everyone at AMC the best of luck & hope things work out for them. They did the best they could the last few years. Agnes Nixon, you're the best!
I am so heartbroken AMC final days are here on abc.. I've been watching AMC for over 35 years. I cant belive abc is putting a cooking show in place as if we need another cooking show.. Nothing can replace AMC..
I have watched AMC and OLTL since I was in school. I got to see Erica as a very young teenager and now I have decided not to watch ABC anymore because I don't like reality shows, I tried watching and was so ashamed that people can watch people being Crass. Not worth my time. Another Cooking show. Thanks I'm fat enough and don't plan on getting fatter. ABC has made a major mess out of things and have only their own selves to blame this is such a shame.
Words cannot express how sad I am for the end of All My Children this week. I have cried every day watching for the last several days, and know it is only going to get worse. The marathons this weekend were fun to watch, reminiscing about the good old days, showcasing beloved characters.
For those who keep asking, no SoapNet won't air it from the beginning or save it because SoapNet too is going off the air next year. Our only hope is that the internet version will do justice to the characters that we have come to know and love over the years. Those who choose to make the move anyway, as many sadly are not.
Goodbye ABC. Friday is the last day I will EVER watch any programming on your network.
Iwill soon have no reason to watch abc. I can only hope that Soap Net will show all the old epsodes from the beginning
