At least she knows what history means to this show since she worked with Agnes Nixon the creator of the show so she can hopefully bring some of that old history back to this show as welll as bringing some new blood to it to keep us fans happy, so in order to do that first of all you need to bring the old characters back, like Janet, Dixie, Adam, Brooke, Zac, Leo, Santos family,Jenny, Haylie, Babe, Jamie, Maggie, etc etc etc, if you can only bring back one i suggest you do everything in your power to bring back David Canaray (Adam Chandler) the show has not been the same since he left no one can play evil as well as he can not eve Dr, David Hayward, you need David Canaray back ASAP! second, stop focusing on the 4 main characters like Ryan, Greenlee, Kendall, and Griffth in case you forgot they are other people on the show and not just those 4! third stop bringing on new characters and throwing them into full storylines like Maddison, Asher, Caleb, Cara, and that priest guy forgot his name?i mean let's face it no one cares about them so why would we watch them or want them on our screen everyday? like so many other fans i would like to see the vets and familys like Kane, Chandlers (With Adam), Hubbards, Santos, etc etc etc, more on my screen than the newbies who can't act! now if you start listening to us fans and start bringing history back to this show maybe it will survivor? Because if you don't do something fast it might be the end of Pine Valley as we know it and none of the fans want that to happen! So hopefully this will be a new and old beginning for this show cross your fingers!

Give David a better storyline. All of PV seem to seem to be against him due to some of his past actions, but if you look at the history of the main characters who are against hiim, you will discover they did things that were just as bad. Jessie for instance covered up the death of Madison's husband, by destroying evidence when he placed the dead body in a car and crashed it so that the body could be destroyed in order to protect Randy. Angie became aware of it but did nothing. Jessie is now keeping a secret from his wife that could destroy their family. In regards to Greenlee, she encouraged the tampering of Erica's plane, but David took the heat. She got away with it. Although I do not like Emma's disrespect of Greenlee, I have no compassion for her due to her actions against David, Madison and Scott. I'll be glad when Ryan find out what she did. In regards ti Erica, Kendall and Bianca, they are always against David, however, whenever they run into health problems, who do they run too, David,, the person they can't stand. This thing with Erica and Jack is utterly rediculous. It is time for Erica to settle down. It looks crazy for a woman of her caliber and age to be running around like an air head. It'd be nice for PV to have one couple who have a steady relationship. Marrisa should have more compassion for her father(David), he did nothing to her. She's jumping on the band wagon like the rest of the haters and hiporcrites of PV. Wouldn't it be a riot if David is really Amanda's baby father, but Angie had something to do with switching the DNA in order to help Amanda. It would be a bigger riot if it were discovered that Jennie is really Adam's baby, but David did something to switch the DNA in order punish those who hurt him. If I remember correctly, David left town right after the DNA results of Jennie came back. Bring Zack back.

1. Focus on Frankie and Randi (Give them a family together/Let Jesse and Angie work on their problems in a believeable way) Introduce some new relatives like Randi's mom. (Possible Story Idea--The writers could say, Randi's mom wasn't dead after all, but told the State foster care officials, to tell Randi that. In short, she decided to give Randi up and walk away. I would love to see Victoria Rowell or Lynette Mckay to play her mom. Also, Randi's backstory needs to be told in a decent way!) Jesse and Angie should be seen giving Frandi advice!

2. End Rylee for good! Make Ryan lose and learn to work for something. Everything comes too easy for him!

3. Give us more multi-layered David/Try a David/Liza pairing at least temporarily. Then, go for Dalee (David and Greenlee)

4. Let David interact with Griffin and the younger doctors more! I also like the David vs Hubbards spats! The acting is off the charts! All the vet actors are wonderful.

5. More character driven drama over tired, mindless plotpoints. I'm sick of the boring quads and triangles! Keep some couples together and working on their problems! There's more to angst than third party nonsense! Write characters "in" character. Stop the needless character destruction and propping!

6. Give us more Scott with anyone! (The recast has been great!) I especially like Scott and Madison together!

7. Please let Erica grow up and commit to Jackson. If not immediately, put Jackson and Krystal together. Or go with Caleb and Krystal with Jackson getting some attention too. Either way, Erica shouldn't automatically win!

8. Bring back vets like Skye and Ross to help with the Cortlandt/Chandler story. Otherwise, get rid of Caleb.

9. Give Griffin a story that doesn't involve Kendall! Let him rome the canvas for awhile! Every character doesn't need a love interest right away.

10. Bring back Zach, Brooke and Jaime too.

11. Let Jesse and Tad work on cases together! I would love to see Jesse leave the police force and become a PI at least temporarily! (Possible Story Idea--Let Papel (Ray Gardener's evil brother and Jesse's torturer) escape from the federal pin and wreak havoc! A big umbella story like that would allow the Martins and Hubbards to interact more! Alot of history can be tapped into as well! ( ie: Tad's abusive childhood!)

Great post DVasiFan! It's possible to have a loving family and a career. This is the 21st century not 1950. Frankie and Randi need some good character development and storylines focused on them.

Why can't Frankie show some ambition and go up the medical ladder? Why can't we see some of Randi's photo shoots? Or show Frankie coming to visit her on the set?

Why are the writers ignoring the fact Frankie and Randi suffered a miscarriage?! Viewers should be seeing them discuss their feelings about it in a believeable, sustained way!

Frandi is long overdue for some major storylines! Stop using them as props!

Please give FRANDI a great story and the family, they were denied in '09!

Corneius and Denise deserve a chance to work consistently. They're good, nice-looking actors! Diversity should be promoted!

Please show respect to the history and character of the core families too. The Hubbards wouldn't befriend someone who willfully hurt the entire family. What Madison did was sick and wrong. The Hubbards deserved some justice. She harrassed Randi into a miscarriage! Now, JnA's baby girl Ellie is dead! I'm sick of seeing the Hubbard women unable to give the Hubbard men, the family they want! There's NO EXCUSE for this! Give the Hubbards more story options than victim. The next generation (FRANDI) need to provide the next Hubbard family member!

I want Erica, Jack, Bianca, and Kendall to tell skank Kwak that they don't want Miranda's kidnapper around their family ever again. I want the mountain goon to go back to the mountains never to be heard from again. I want my Jerica wedding with all the K/M family members with them and I want them to be the anchor family of the show.

I'll keep it short but really sweet. I want Frankie and Randi to have more airtime with a compelling SL. Announcing their pregnancy after the reveal that baby Ellie/Lucy isn't Angie's bio child will start much needed healing. Welcome Back LB!!

Awesome post and i deas, Robyn. Maybe LB can hire you as her assistant. ITA about Jerica and I Ho pe this is the first thing LB fixes. Get Caleb out of her orbit and PLEASE get KWAK out of Jackson's. I can't stand her face or the fact that she took Miranda. This character is the worst thing that ever happened to AMC.

I am very glad to have Lorraine back as head writer, since she is familiar with the history of the show, which has always been central to the solid storytelling. I know, I know, when McTavish was on, she knew character history too and made some horrible decisions that probably cost her job, but at the end of the day, a writer who knows her characters intimately is definitely a good thing.

Since McTavish left, the show has really fallen apart. 3 sets of writers in as many years, and we have lost so many core characters and the new ones we have gotten in their place don't bring anything to the canvas.

Bringing in a new Cortlandt heir? Good! Making him an unknown like Caleb the boorish mountain man? Horrible! Where was Petey? Ross Chandler? There were other Cortlandts who could have been utilized, if done right.

Reuniting Jack and Erica? YES, that was a great move! It was McTavish who finally got them together. Then all the hack writers kept tearing them apart, until Lorraine returned and reunited them. But Double D? All they did was to focus on the supposed comedy and return Erica to teenage form, making goo-goo eyes at the newest man to come to Pine Valley. Why is it on every other soap, the matriarch actually acts her age (to an extent) and doesn't go running around willy-nilly from one guy to the next. Only Erica!

The only story Double D has done well with was Jesse and Angie. Now why couldn't Erica and Jack have that? Their family, bonded together, reuniting around them?

So Thorsten wasn't able to stay on the west coast with the show? Okay, make the outcome the same, but for a different reason: What if something had happened to Jack and Erica, forcing one of them to turn to Zach for help? And it was Erica who was ultimately responsible for Zach's death? How crazy good would that have been?The casino story could have still been utilized, but Kendall would have lashed out at her mother instead of Greenlee.
And how great would it have been if Jack and Greenlee were there, side by side, defending Erica! And then, slowly Kendall would come around, just in time for something horrible to happen to Erica! And not only would it bring the Kane and Montgomery family closer, it would bring Lily and Reggie home. Heck, it would even bring Trey back, for Kendall, which in turn would bring Maggie back, and she would help Bianca get over Reese and they could renew their relationship.
Now that is how that family should have been written for!

So, you want my suggestions on how to save the show?
Here you go:

1) Get rid of Caleb, bring on a real Cortlandt heir.
2) Reunite Jack and Erica and give them a meaty story, the likes of Angie and Jesse, that brings their whole family home and together.
3) Make it a lie that this Cara is the same one who married Jake. I am getting so sick of whiny Amanda. Reveal that this Cara is an imposter, that she worked with Jake and Carolyn, wanted what they had and had Jake's actual wife killed and assumed her life. This way, Amanda doesn't have to be jealous, but this Cara can still be in the Martin family and see where things go with Tad (I actually like them). Heck, keep the same reasons, that she had a price on her head, so it was convenient to off Carolyn and assume her life. Jake would be disgusted, but perhaps Tad would still understand.
4) Speaking of Amanda, she needs her brother back. If my above suggestion doesn't happen, Amanda obviously needs more in her life than a loving husband and adorable son. Maybe if she had an older brother who was in trouble to worry about, she would stop whining all the time.
5) Either put Colby and Asher together already, or ship him somewhere else. And tell Colby to stop whining too. She just got a new job with her family's competitor. Also, she is being mentored by Erica Kane! How cool would it be if Erica took her in as a new daughter, infuriating Bianca? Let's have naughty Bianca come back out and play, its been way too long since she offed Michael Cambias!
6) I like bratty Emma, but I want to see Greenlee respond as Greenlee, not as someone trying to become mother of the year. She needs to start using some tough love and Ryan does too. If it tears their home apart, so be it. Besides, then Greenlee can go back to a very much alive Leo and Ryan can hook up with someone new, maybe Gillian's long-lost twin? (Hey, stranger things have happened!)
7) So long as you leave Scott and Madison alone. I love these two together, because both can be sugary sweet, but both can also be manipulative and ruthless. I'd love to see Scott actually take over the business end of Fusion just long enough for Madison to rise above Greenlee and Kendall to start her own rival line. How cool would that be?
8) Keep Frankie and Randi together, but please give them a story. Give them a pregnancy that sticks, or have them go through adoption where they get a baby of a different ethnic background than them. Whatever you do, these two need a story stat.
9) I like Liza and David together. Keep Liza as DA and have David become Pine Valley's surgeon general or something. They could become the literal power couple of Pine Valley!
10) JR needs some loving but not with Marissa. Truthfully, so long as Tad keeps the girls, Krystal and Marissa can both go (Krystal can marry Caleb and then they'll be a new little honky tonk family). Instead, JR needs someone who has the same amount of fire he does. Maybe bring back spitfire Kelsey Jefferson for him to tangle with.
11) I like Kendall with Griff. Let's explore them more and definitely reveal that Ricky killed Zach. He's getting old. And decide already- does he actually have feelings for Kendall now or is it only about the job? Do a real triangle or ship him off.

Thanks for letting us comment, hope some of it happens, but mostly glad to have Double D gone and to have Lorraine back. Here's hoping AMC sees its 50th anniversary, and if not, hope Lorraine at least creates some happy endings to send the show off proudly into the sunset.
